Two different operative systems. Some programs that work for NT 4 SP 6 doesn't work with Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition. And No w2003 program would work for NT 4 (that I have tried). Do you understand what I mean?

Are you talking about the software of P900 compatible with P800? Because I am really interested in that. I hope it will be compatible. In other way, the production of software for P800 will stop. (((((( |

Well it wont stop at first. But companies will move on to the P900. Though I can't for the life of me believe that they will do it instantly the P900 is out. Because there are so many P800 customers on the market to sell their apps too.
My point was and is unsure (because there is no P900 here with me to test;)), but this is how it usually goes. Programs for new operative systems are not made to work with old ones. But sometimes old programs work with new operative systems.

I can't hold my silence any longer - I did an online discussion for SE which was basically "what do you think of your P800?" and "What do you think of this new device?".
It was very informative, and I can guarantee all the points around these forums were raised (t9 etc) but there was some telling info about the new phone - I won't call it the P900 or the P810, as there were legit SE images of the phone with P810 on some and P900 on others, so it could realistically be called either.
It does have a removable flip, definately, but it will be a hard wired job, not simply touching the screen so will be a lot trickier to remove. I think thats a very good thing.
However - the photos I saw of the thing (which came directly from SE) also looked like the screen had been added in Photoshop so I wouldn't worry about that. I will say that most of the rumours I've seen on these pages are true though.

aye i get ya lordmike,
but as far as i was aware SE, Sony, Ericsson whoever has has the greatest input on this device were very good at back compatibility. ie so im hoping alos that any apps i have for my P800 will be compatible with my P900!? so if they do that i cant see (maybe im being st00pid) why the actual software on the P900 wont work on the P800!!
Suppose i best just sit and wait and see what they release in the R3A as my R2F is knackered!! i get the TOD at least 4 times a day while writing SMS's!!

christ...
you do realise the firmware is read-only - and is stable - ie its your software thats knackered, not your firmware....
Ive had R1d since feb and have prolly had 5 TOD's in total.
FORMAT YOUR PHONE !!
