Shit - T610 DOES support HTML - WITHOUT any java app.

As posted earlier it just needs to be cropped to the screen size & have no fancy crap - all this using a WAP APN aswell!!!

Good job my wap is free at the moment - hehehehe [addsig]

you cant use webviewer with you wap settings
you need to go into connectivity then wap profiles then go into your current wap setting ie orange gprs then edit it were it says connect using it must be the interent setting not the wap or web viewer wont work.
hope this helps

@flavious – we have an ebay wap site in the uk – you can bid on that or bid back by text. Check yours.

@slattery69 - you can't access full size web sites such as esato - but if the page is written to the size of T610 screen, you can use html mark-up & this will show through your wap browser.

This not not xhtml - but T610 can show both, with limitations. But that is still cool. [addsig]

Umm thanks for the hint. I had previously tried wap.ebay.com with no luck but right now im on wap.ebay.co.uk and that loads a logo and 3 links: search login and categories. First 2 give an error, wireless site has technical difficulties try again later and the third one displayes the word "categories" and thats all...

Edit: theres a .com version as well, mmm.ebay.com and it works somewhat better. I could do a title search, actually find the item i was looking for but when i OK'ed it it gave invalid item error...

I think whether it works or not in individual cases is down to the network, and the gateway chosien in the setttings.
Webviewer works fine for me, on orange pay as you go in the UK,using GPRS, and 'payginternet' as the APN. In other words, there's nothing on the T610 stopping MIDP 1.0 http support working - but your network/gateway may or may not support it.

@boyi yup it will cost more tried it using the orange gprs wap and it wont connect but it will using the orange gprs intrent settings
so i guess its the only way to get it to work.
think orange charge £3-£3.50 per mb without a bundle
