if i remember correctly, we cannot use those TETRA walkie talkie. It need some infrastructure. Normally it will be something sort after by police, fire dept or rescue dept etc etc.
it is ugly because it need to BE....take a look on those button, all are huge so the user can reach for the right command fast. This is where design give way for ergonomics features. |

TETRA handsets have never been nice looking. Never been meant too. The looks do not quite matter...
