kearnage: yes, that's the bluetooth stack problem i've been facing it's buggy and we can only wait for SE to release a patch.
anyway, if you want to see what's going on, just go to Extras -> Bluejack -> View run log and u'll see what it's doing.
EDIT: Yes, see ajack's post below. read the manual. if you disable proximity sweep, it takes a while for it to stop. i've tried forcefully stopping it and it makes the stack behave weird. so i opted for waiting till it finishes before allowing you to quit. If, however, you end up waiting TOO long (like more than 30 seconds), then the bluetooth stack has gone berserk. read the manual on how to fix it and allow sman to exit.

@kearnage:
Please read the MANUAL on my site!!!!!!
Simple answer... you have to wait for the process after you get the message that it will stop the sweep, you must wait till another message says that it successfully stop, then only it will stop.

To All: Lets read the manual 1st (as per advise of ajack) so we could avoid questions where answers are already written in the manual. Isnt it funny, this all started (bluejacking) from a guy who is waiting in line in a bank. Hehe... Thanks, Ajack! :cool:

doh, sorry, my crappy work proxy had cached an OLD page, and that was the only link on it, I just assumed you'd forgotten to change the file!
It's really annoying when that happens!!
I assume everyone is all sorted now...
sorry

Read the manual and all is good again. Going to the control panel and turning the bluetooth off and back on is a small price to pay for the amount of fun I get from annoying the nokia scum
Does this mean I actually have to start reading manuals now. It's going to be hard to break the habit of a lifetime. Half the fun is trying to work things out for yourself |
