whom did u speak to at that time?
so when u planning to go Ericserve? i might be heading there by today afternoon around 2-3 pm to get this thing solve ASAP.

@markng, you bought your T610 from Ericserve right? If Ericserve can give a 1-to-1 replacement, then I'll definitely buy it from there. Keep us posted okay? |

Psycho : No I spoke to Jeffery. If they can solve it for you, it'll be great but I'm kinda skeptical. If they can do a 1 to 1 swap that'll be great but make sure the new unit doesn't hiss.
Novell : No, I got mine in USJ Taipan.

what a day! i juz came back from Ericserve. unfortunately, jeffrey, ben all the technician were out for lunch. luckily, there is this guy call Chong who did all the explaining to me. it's actually a hardware problem involving the speaker with some transistor (something like that). he ask me to wait till monday for all things to be sorted out. i think they waiting for SE(m) instruction on what to do next week. let's hope they can do a 1 to 1 swap. all we can do is wait loh:)
that's all i got from Ericserve
wait, wait and wait

hi all,
went down to m1 shop just now, and spoke with the salesperson.
he said new batch of t610 arriving "soon" and will have hissing fixed, 4mb and chinese input.
i guess when you see chinese input character on the keypad, you'll know it's batch 2.
hopefully all problems are solved then.
cheers! |

Psychofreak : I'll call EricServe tomorrow morning. If they don't have a fix or replacement, then why bother going there. |

Well, i asked the person how soon is soon too.
he said he dun know.. but he said maybe in a few weeks time..
but then he elaborated again that he's not sure..
well, i dun really need the chinese inpu tthingy.. but at least that's a tell-tale sign that it is a later batch.

well, about the 4mb thing.. there has been alot of uncertainty..
some said it was rumour and some said it was due to typo error on the manual provided with the test handset to another website.
so much so i myself dun know what to believe anymore.
though having said that, there are 2 people from "official" sources that i spoke to on seperate occaision that said there is a 4mb one coming up (with chinese input).
one is the salesman from m1. one is a SE customer care offcier (via phone).
i dun think they will lie.
well, i guess we will have to wait and see.
even if there isnt really a 2mb, at least the 2nd batch will have hissing "improved" (quoting the sales man).
i have been so tempted to buy the day it was released...
but am forcing myself to wait.

ya, i like the silver one too.
anyway, went past m1 shop, look at the display handset and saw chinese strokes on the keypad..
so went in and asked.
but the guy said they are still selling those without chinese input.
(meaning first batch most prolly).
i guess our wait may come to an end real soon...
cheers! |
