THK is right. Certification process won't be succesful if there is no demo mode in your game. Even in the case that demo mode is included, it must be restrictive enough or it won't pass.

Damn it!
One thing I like about Microsoft. I can develop free code.
Well ... anyway.
Even this way i can get around them. I can simply unlock the game for each person that requests so.
Big deal ... they can't stop me from doing that.
So I will limit Pong to be played only 10 minutes in demo mode.
Then i will put in a secret code to unlock the full game, publish the secret code ... and voila!
Am I smart ... or what ?

I don't think they are completely against free software.

Every T300 owner and their dogs will know when any games are released, since new releases are plastered all over the mophungames.com website. Not that there's been anything new in the past uhh.. three months or so.

Btw ... does any of you has a free home made video clip I can use as a sample with the video player I am creating for the T300?
I can't find any free clips to use and distribute with the player.

i want to share an idea i had with you!
i see that you are making a video player! it will be a good idea that the mp3 player that has 32mb space can be used as a "hard" disk that will contain the avi files! i have also a very nice idea for free games ! and not in demo mode! but i will try to make it at summer!
i am sorry for my english but i have to use them a lot of time! |

Unfortunately, I can't use the memory from the mp3 player.
It would have been nice to able to do that.
All I can do is store the files in phone memory, or stream it from a WAP site for live view.

I have received some feedback on the Pong certification :
1. Game not certified. Only commercial software supported at this time. In the near future support will be added for free software (looking forward for this)
2. Synergenix staff is browsing this forum ... they pointed out my "attempt" (?) to hack their DRM system.
3. There goes my attempt of creating free software for SE phones, and money invested to buy a SE T300, datacable, etc etc ... not to mention time.
I hope they will support free software some day ... until then ... thank you all for your great support and I hope that some day I will be able to offer you the free software you need.

As someone else pointed on the mophun forums. We should've done our research before buying the phone. Owning a T300 isn't necessary for developing for the T300 since you can't download your own apps into your own phone anyway.

Dont stop making software coreinside. Plenty of people pay for good games and more will pay for calender, movie or any sort of good application :-)
