I have a friend who managed to drop his mobile in a glass of GinTonic. Needless to say it wasn't his first drink of the evening. Unfortunately it was a Samsung so no revival attempts worked ...what can you say, Asians can't hold their spirits like us Scandinavians so I think an Ericsson would be fine after a couple of GTs
(just a joke, nothing bad about Asians)

I heard (read) someone mentioning flushing it with "Pure" water. By "Pure", i'm presuming he/she meant demineralised water. you can get this from most supermarkets, if not, try your local auto shop. |

Probably too late but you should switch off immediately remove the battery dismantle the phone and flush everything thoroughly with distilled water. Allow to dry completely before powering up. If it is dead try a good known battery. Chances are the LCD may be damaged. Good luck!

I am sooooooo happy. Thanks for all your advice! Now we know that the T68 is also water proof!

sstrunks84,
That's great news!
But since there are many suggestions here on what you should do, what exactly did you do to dry out the phone?
For future reference... |

Well, I actually used a hairdryer set on cool for a little while and then I left it to dry for about 2 and a half days. |

I'm curious - does your phone still recognise the battery as an Ericsson one? After mine dried out it thought it had an alien battery for the first two charges then finally worked out that it was Ericsson. Don't know how this affects the battery life. |

I'm not sure I understand what you are saying. Does the phone tell you something if it thinks that it's an alien battery and does this happen when you start charging? |

Yes, when I plugged the charger in it said something like 'Charging, alien battery' rather than the normal 'Ericsson optimized charging'. Maybe the contacts were still damp or something. It's working normally again now. |

I think he means that when you put the charger in to charge the phone if it says Ericsson Optimized Charging then it recognizes your battery if it doesnt then its the alien battery thing....Congratulations on saving your T68 thats great!!!
