Bit of a toughy.
When the flip is on I have piece of mind that the screen has a little more protection.
However when using the phone without the flip, I always get a grin on my face worthy of the cheshire cat.
So if I had had to choose between protection or posing..................................................................... what can I say, I'm a poser baby.

FLIP ON and ON
If U want a flip free device, get an Ipaq or somthing people, the beauty of the P800 is the fact that it has the brain of a PDA but the look of a phone, and that is 50% because of the keypad!!
