Ok lets patch things up, shall we?
If we look at both phones we will find some view points like :
1) P800 rules out the SX-1 in the screen which I personally think that this is an important aspect since the resolution will be higher to P800's side.
2)The SX-1 rules over the P800 coz of its relatively small size and the availability of solid keys instead of completely relying on touch-screen.
3)P800 is kinda rich in capabilities, unlike the SX-1 which no body knows its potential till now.
What I want to say that both devices rule out each other in performance , so its kinda unfair to call it 'a competition between two phones' , because both phones are absolutely perfect in layout.

Why does everyone think that the SX1 is in the same class as the P800?!?!??!?! It's a Series 60 phone!!!! It's a helluva lot better than the 7650 or 3650. I'd recommend it over the T610, if you don't mind the buttons... but it's NOT a hybrid!!!! It can have all the apps in the world...but at the end of the day, it's a smartphone, not a hybrid PDA/phone. You can't draw on it... Half the phone is occupied by buttons... the screen is a lot smaller. It's a different class all together!!!! Right now, has no phone to compete against the SX1, in the smartphone class, the SX1 is the best. In the hybrid PDA/phone class, the P800 is the best. Siemen's has no phone yet to compete against the 7250 or the T610.
If you're thinking that the SX1 is better than the P800, then the P800 was never meant for you. It's that simple. These two phones cannot be compared since they're not intended to meet the same demands. It's like saying a screwdriver is better than a Swissknife since it's bigger, easier to hold, and cheaper.
Get the phone to meet YOUR needs. If you need a SMARTPHONE, get the SX1. If you need a LIFESTYLE phone, wait for the T610. If you want a PDA/PHONE IN ONE, get the P800...GET IT?!?!?!?
It's like those people saying that the Z1010 is better than the P800, or which should I get? The T610 or P800? ... it depends on YOUR needs. Gee... should I get a blue t-shirt? Or black pants? It's apples and oranges people.
Siemen's rocks. They always had a great mobile portfolio. If I was to choose another phone other than it would be Siemens.

Hmmmm.....sounds interesting...
I'll have my friend buy the Siemens SX1- he looks on these things (phones, cameras, etc) as toys, and after a few weeks passes them on to me,he he.

Haha, oops, almost like a Samsung!
But seriously, what good is 25 MB memory when it takes forever to even write an sms?
Can you look at Word and Excel documents in it? and kan you use MSN or ICQ on it?
It's gotta be even harder to write on this one than on 3650 I figure... |

Well, dunno about Word and Excel... but you can send and receive faxes with Bitweens MobileFAX program for the Series60.
There are a lot of apps for the Series 60 already (Thanks to the 7650 and 3650) ... I think this is why Siemens chose to license it from Nokia. They wanted a platform that was already out and well known. The interface will look very very similar to the Nokia's.
And the SX1 should have a video recorder already if not, the 7650 recorder app will work as well. As well as Bemused (grrr... I wish someone would port this app for the P800) ... and other Nokia apps.
Oh, and for you Command & Conquer fans... Strategic Assault on the P800 rocks!!! AI is kinda dumb... but I find that this is one of THE best games for the P800. It's modern day chess! You can pretend you're George W!
And I also got the AUTOCAD viewer for the P800!!!! DAMN!!! It feels like some Mission:Impossible data screen when you see the CAD drawings being rendered in the P800!!! I don't really have a use for it... but architects and engineers will find it very useful. Full schematic blueprints and site plans, etc.. can be viewed & zoomed! go to www.visiarc.com they also have clients for the Series60 I think. |

But boy, does the SX1 really sux in design.
Sorry, that is what I really feel. P800 is definitely above this league. |

lol A Nokia KILLER? its basicailly a Nokia PHONE... just imagine if u will the Nokia 7210 and the Nokia 3650 joining together to form a phone...THIS is what it would look like. A Disorganized pice of crap that they are going to sell for $400...ohh its got this and ohhh its got that...WHATEVER! The P800 is the most powerfull phone out there right now no questions asked. And Size? are you kidding me? okj lets compare the p800 in size to ohhh lets say the t68i...a VERY small phone. so all of you who HAVE t68i and a p800 do this...place your t68i up to your phone and look at the difference. hmm...maybe an INCH in each direction IF that...ohhh BIG difference. now weight wise...hold your p800 in one hand and t68i in theother...really is there THAT big of a difference. and lets be honest here folks the p800 isnt a t68i..or a 3650 or a 7210...its a PDA/Phone the Screen is TINY compared to ANY OTHER PDA out there. It also has a camera which can be UPGRADED through updates. Just think abouyt it dont call the p800 a big phone cus it isnt 1/2 the time i dont even feel it in my pocket, and what by the way is the difference in carying it in the summer time compared to winter? do u not wear pants with poskets in the winter? if so how are u going to carry around your SX1?
