I was considering getting a 3650 - extremely attractive price for what it is - but I am a heavy texter and was wondering how easy it is to get to grips with the new keypad, if you ever get to grips with it at all...?

Texting is hell mate, been using my wife's 3650 for two weeks now and I still have not adjusted to the keypad lay-out. Good thing my contract gives me only 350 sms a month, but my talktime package is 210 minutes :-) That aside I like it and lots of 3rd party software. There is even 7 pop3 shareware groups out there where they put up free apps and keys based on your imei where you could download programs, attachments, software, wav files directly to the phone via the e-mail client. You could also do a back-up of your phone to the mmc card directly, even planning to get a 128 meg card next week and it's available everywhere. It's still big so my wife uses it most of the time, I still prefer my tried and tested t68, until I could save up for a p800 :-) things aside I find it to be a nice, but not so great phone. Still the p800 wins hands down. *hell, this reply took me about 10 minutes! Damn keypad! :-( he he

P.S. You do not have to download the .Sis file for the cam, it's pre-installed.

Cheerz Neilgoth for that reply, it was damn useful and I still haven't made my mind up about which phone to get - ideally (obviously) a p800 but until the price comes down a free 3650 (my contract is up for renewal) sounds quite good to have for just a year. But texting is my key concern - why did they have to take a good idea with the phone and skrew it up with a poor idea for the keypad? Insane. Is there software to completely control the phone from bluetooth via a PC - for instance to type and send a text (without having to touch the phone)?

Thanks

HI All, he ISN'T bluffing, I'm a Nokia 3650 owner and you can transfer BIG movies to your phone and great compression, I transfered a 41.9MB MPG movie to the phone and it compressed it to a 2.3MB file, here is the screen shot:

http://flegg.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/N3650.jpg

you can also have WAV files as ringtones, and store MP3's on there at about 1/4 of the space!

the 3650 kicks the ass of a T68i as my mate at work has one, and it wipes the floor with is, the N3650 is the best 2.5G phone out there, period.

If you want some free App's for the 3650 then goto http://www.franchesca.org/

start convertin now, SE's going downhill

@* please dont compare oranges to apples. T68 v/s N3650? common! now P800 to bokia 3650? let's get real!

3650 can be considered as a smartphone (phoen/pda/cam functions) so please dont compare it to the MIGHTY T68! and how dare you to compare bokia 3650 against the ALL MIGHTY P800? pick up your sense man!

btw, i got one 3650 for my wife, cool cam, better than 7650, and the video is quite cool for its price, still rules!
