Nope.. dont use it, it isnt free with ATT.. as they want you to buy mMode and its massively expensive. 1000k for like 10bucks or something crazy like that. (id probibly go over that in a second, as id be streaming music and junk trough it [www.phoneradio.com for anyone who does have unlimited wap and wants to stream music to there phone]) So I try to effectively get everything done trough sms; pretty much works for communications.. but I oviously cant like load this message board up.

I've had GPRS access for just 1 day and l've already used 2 meg... it's a hell of a lot cheaper to browse XHTML & WAP than HTML (even with piccies switched off) - l wouldn't mind but it's £2.50/MB :0

Wap 2 has much better picture capability and animation. Color wap is much more fun than old wap 1. As for GPRS, I' m not as impressed. I mostly use CSD in off peak hours. For some reason GPRS is just as slow here in NYC, USA. No advantage to using it here, unless using it to connect a laptop to the web, which is still quite expensive here. GPRS better deal in peak hours because u pay for data not time.

OK what do you all access via wap that you use up so much data? I've got a 10mb plan and I tried to use it up in a month and couldn't even use it all, more like 6mb.

I don't use it often. GPRS isn't free. And still cost too much (with Orange Hong Kong). And it is a bit slow with Orange provided service. |
