n1 is nice but where can you have it fixed if it breaks down. That's the reason why i'd go with a brand with good after sales service.

I have no comments on the N1 but my choice is the T610 |

@antonios
You do NOT need a headset when you speak in it... It is a speaker on the back side... It means you have the screen \"away\" from you when you speak... Will go for the N1... 2mb is to small...

@jnorberg, are you sure about that? Sounds pretty neat to me. I was afraid that a headset was needed in order to use it as a phone but now it sounds much more appealing to me.
However, one big problem in my eyes is that it's using a proprietary shell on WinCE. This is NOT MS Smartphone so software for the N1 would have to be formatted/rewritten for the Neonode.
It also bothers me that there are no pics of the N1 in action, only retouched photos with N1 screenshots pasted into the screen area. |

@Iceduck
at first it wasn't meant for Neonode to have either mic or speaker built in, but it was change due to a demand from a dealer... this is one reason for the delay...

...and it will perhaps not even come in may?
I´m thinking to go for a T610 instead

Here's another important comparison point:
t610 = Out in a few months, released through normal channels by a competant worldwide retailer with plenty of support points around the world...
n1 = No definite release date, talking about a small amount of 'pre-order' handsets being available (1000, iirc?), released by a smaller than small Sweedish company with no worldwide support or tried and tested earlier models.
Don't get me wrong, I've fallen on my face and fawned in front of the neonode site too, but they may as well have 'pipe dream' written all over it.
Even if it does make it out of the Neonode garage and (even more far-fetched) out of Sweeden, I haven't heard of any support for it. So, you damage it, you send it all the way back to Sweeden for a small team to work on it.
That'll suck if it ever needs repairing.
Gimme a t610 any day - even if it doesn't have some of the features, I know where I am with .

I'm not going to deny picture proof that a unit exists, but its worth noting that there have been pictures of Ericsson phones that never made it out.
I'm not going to hold my breath for Neonode, not when there's a very good chance the t610 will be out in the next couple of months.
Besides, I've had enough trouble connecting my t68i to my PC (still not done it and now given up, even after reading how2 guides), nevermind a neonode :-/

The n1 do not need a headset, it even has a speaker (loud speaker) function that allows u to leave it on your desk and talk free without the use of any ear device. N1 out in may. Check:
