Coming to ThreeUK
In all honesty I would wait to see how well it is received in reviews and consumers alike. I do wonder if 2GB of ram would be enough for QHD but the 3GB one would be although it may not be in all markets

I was right about the sensor size, 1/3.06" which is very small, the S5 is 1/2.6". I think DIS or EIS isn't that far behind OIS anyway, I've seen videos where the S5 DIS outperforms the LG G2's OIS I think PhoneArena posted it too. |

Sony IMX135 is also in the Galaxy S4 Exynos Octa and LG G2.
Interesting that they didn't go all out on the camera.
Overall I not impressed, as I've said before S801 + QHD just doesn't sound good, overtime I can see it being an issue.
Bring on IFA.

You are wrong... HTC One Mini 2 does not use Sony image sensors
The front camera of One Mini 2 uses Samsung (S5K5E2) and rear camera uses image sensor Omnivsion (OV13850)

Oh and I'm a bit disappointed with the G3 specs, too. But I'll look into some early experiences if LG really can make a difference with these specs.

I don't want to stress you anymore, but how's multitasking with the S5? Do Apps tend to reload?

@DexterMoser no not at all have had absolutely no slow down or lag or no apps reloading. This GS5 is really a nice breath of fresh air from Samsung. Am not overly fussed on the G3 yet anyway want the price to drop and to read reviews and experiences from users. And yes I am planning my year ahead now and need a break from changing and spending on phones. I've come to a point where they all seem samey and let you down one way or another somewhere. Can't be arsed anymore

honestly for me
in all not impressive (camera less than the other 2014 flagships, with the same SD 801 and 3GB ram)
so really normal top notch with even less camera and battery also less or same as the One (M8), Z2 & SSGS5
except in 2 things
the bezels i die for those bezels
the QHD whatever said about the need of it or not, and how much it will take from the battery
3GB RAM is now the standard and should be going forward considering:
screen resolutions, game size and data for maps, polygons & other demanding graphical components
SD 801 more than capable; anything better that is tangible to you or anyone else will be on a 64bit cpu.
I'd trust the IPS HD type displays (last gen I'm sure) or future iterations from LG than any other display as LG has proven great performance since 1080p on Optimus LTE debuted with that resolution. I cannot wait to see performance and how TV, video (movies or VC conference apps perform).
This display is incredible! LG has pretty much ALWAYS been first with great displays and the first to deliver a 2.1MP front camera about 1.5yrs before anyone else got to that size! This display isn't about how it performs for a smartphone ... it's a showcase about going into TV's or Tablets and desktop 4HD Displays (pixels increasing in density as size increases, of course).
Don't hate on LG ... they've fought and improved in EVERY way in the past 3yrs and they deserve all their credit! I wait their first smartphone using a 64-bit cpu end of summer 2014.

Its certainly a great piece of engineering in terms semiconducting .. The screen to bezel ratio is simply amazing. My guess is that if we are going to see a phone without bezel, it will most likely come from LG.
Its kind of sad that they went for such a small camera sensor.. other than that, if I was buying an andro flagship, this would be it. |

Also, I am yet to understand why they are pushing the PPI levels so high.. there's got to be a point of diminishing returns here. I always thought that anything over 300 PPI is more than enough for any smartphone usage case...
