Played with this and a Xperia Z1 today in store, it was like day and night. The G2 ran like a well oiled machine, a lot of people were trying it out infact, had a good 15-20mins with both though as I was there early.
G2's display is just jaw dropping, and that bezel made my GS4's bezel seem huge  UI fast, fluid and consistant. On the other hand the Z1 to me was much like the Z before it, Display was washed out, made to look even worse by the fact that it had the GS4 and Note 3 on its left and G2 on its right, with brilliant displays. The Z1 was quite warm when I held it and the UI was jittery and it had homescreen redraw, very typical Xperia issues overall, it was like deja vu, on top of that the Z1 looks odd with its huge bezel, holding it after handling my GS4 and a G2 was weird, and it just doesn't stand out the way the G2 and GS4 do with their thin bezels and colourful displays.
I think LG hit the nail on the head with the G2, it's a true GS4, Note 3 and Htc One competitor, I hope the G3 is even better 
Lack of MicroSD expansion is my only gripe, how could LG make such a beast and forget to throw in memory expansion???

I have an LG G2 arriving tomorrow from Amazon before 1pm!!!!  Sent the Samsung Mega back wanted something more powerful & a bit smaller too Paid £349 for the G2 in black but the white one I wanted for over £400  Never mind as I do love this device played with it many times!!!!!!!

Yeah be fine mate. I will have a couple of gigs of music on there with about a gig of apps then the rest is for pics and video. I have lived with less. Am really looking forward to this one. The Mega had memory issue 3 times now kept saying memory full please delete files but I had nearly 4 gigs remaining  Anyway am concentrating on different things next year need to quit this for a while

Build quality is rock solid and same as Note 3. Battery is amazing

Just tried recording a video 1080p @60fps and wow is it clear and so so smooth  Been using the battery hard all morning doing everything and in 4 hours it's only gone down 13%. Amazing battery well done LG. The Galaxy Mega battery would have dropped 30% in 2 hours with my heavy usage. So happy with this LG fantastic phone in every way. Only one annoying thing is bottom placement of headphone jack

Problem with the G2 camera is that it's crap in low light and it is slow to take pics indoors and in low light plus the flash is very weak. |
