I don't think you need to worry about that. I do agree with you - partly. Not that the Elm is better. But your previous Nokia 6700 was better than the iPhone 4. Very nice shots. Low noise AND very mild NR. Why didn't you keep it?

I'm not talking about you leaving or disagreeing with things here I'm saying is there is not many pics and I dont think there
will be because every one is slating the pictures, I've got a few pics to post but I'm not going to now because they will just get slated so there is no point...

I think if you've made best effort to get a good pic its worth posting for critique. don't take the critique personally unless you've gone out of your way to take a bad pic in bad light etc... the idea of these topics is to discuss the quality produced by each camera phone and hopefully improve technique etc.
I do think the iPhone 4 has potential, and I'm especially happy with the video to the point that this fantastic weekend (weather wise) I'm putting together some clips of family, dogs, bbq etc using the iMovie app to send to my mum back home in Oz... and thats something I haven't been interested in doing before.

i know the iphone is capable of taking better pics. Like masseur said, the snap was just a point and shoot. I'm sure some adjustments will produce better quality. Btw, where are all the iphone guys? I expected to see a flurry of pics in this thread. Was looking forward to seeing snaps in different lighting conditions. |

Only video is good on the iPhone 4 imo, tbh i think even the photo's on my K700i has better shots, ok maybe not K700i but K750i.
Age is just a number.. Being 13 makes me no dumber than a wise old man |

Macworld had a shootout on both photo and video quality between the iPhone 4, Motorola Droid X, HTC EVO 4G and Samsung Galaxy. According to them the iPhone beat the other camera phones. You can read it here:

Now that vie been using the phone for a bit I am finding the images a little poor IF I transfer them to my computer. BUT looking at them on the phone itself they look fantastic.
Now I tend not to look at them on computer screen as I use my dslr for taking really good pics so am happy with the quality lol.
I suppose its good if apple haven't applied lots of post processing as this leaves us room to touch up the pics a bit if we want. |

Ars Technica also posted a full review of the iPhone 4 including its camera. Here's a comparison of how it performs in low light compared the older iPhones: from left to right 3G, 3GS and 4:

Sorry? Come again! Lol.
The iPhone 4 is far from a brick. I see U have used a sati which is about the same size as the iPhone and it's actually smaller than the 3GS which wsant exactly huge either.
Now back to the topic... Ppl are amazed at the screen quality when they see the pics I have taken. |
