when i go to the suggested folder I cant find the two files. All I can find are several much smaller files (like 1-10kb or something), and they all have the prefix ICON. Please help because I want to debrand to be able to access the Android Market and get .16  |

Yes, yes i did. I pre-ordered from Rogers.com and it arrived on the 13th of April. Been playing with it and it's pretty nice! Call quality was the only thing i wasn't like too much. I was hoping there would be an update to the firmware but when I plugged in my phone, SE Update said I had the latest already. So I'm hoping there would be an update for the american version of the X10 and as well as debrand it in the process.
There aren't much branding going on with the Rogers X10. They only added the MyAccount app on it and added the Rogers logo when you start the phone. Other than that, no crapware on it =) |

Does the American version even matter?
I got my X10 at the rogers store and unbranded with the UK version files posted on the first page..
Should i debrand it again with the American files if he decides to upload it? What is the difference? |

There are difference in 3G bands from what I gathered. |

I bought an unlock earlier today. Took less than 2 hours to get the code. Seems to have worked.
How would this debranding work on a Rogers X10a? Would different files be required?

i think the problem people are having is it is not to be done using SEUS. You have to use the software update service which is in the PC Companion Software. However I stil avent been able to complete it on my Orange UK x10 as it brings up a message saying download error cannot download your software or something :S:S help please  i want my phone updated email me if u can thanks

i have already completed step 1 thru 5 however i am stucked at step 6:
6. Go to the following directory (folder may be hidden) (C:ProgramDataSony EricssonSEMC OMSI Moduledb13740270blob_fs)
first of all i have unhidden my folders and files (i am using win 7)
i couldn't find any db folder inside SEMC OMSI Module
C:\Program Files\Sony Ericsson\SEMC OMSI Module

then i went to another folder update service i saw the "db" folder however when i got into the blob_fs folder
C:\Program Files\Sony Ericsson\Update Service\db\13740270\blob_fs
there's no file size > 16mb or 110 mb, the max size i have is just 10kb:
