The fact that the iPhone doesnt have an EQ makes it fail IMO, as i use it all the time to get the best out of my music phone sound quality wise. That said i dont rate the iPhone better than W995 and 5800xm. I think the NOKIA and SE sound better, wasnt totaly impressed by the 3GS audio.
Anyway suresh, enjoy the N78,its still a decent phone no doubt.

iphone has roughly 15-20 preset EQ settings for EACH song ... but you enable them on iTunes so the cpu power on the PC/Mac does the proper settings via the EQ profile and then its loaded onto the iPhone during the next sync. You can also set the EQ profile for all songs in the iPod app within iPhone. If you guys used iPhone & iTunes you'd know this.

+1 Mode, exactly, why do you need to use a PC/MAC to do such a little thing.

We're talking about manual eq. You can try find it till your eyes bleed and you still won't find it in the iPhone

Some hifi purists(hifi snobs)would argue that an EQ kills music quality. That they prefer to hear the music in a flat natural pure sound setting as the music should be. Thats a matter of opinion of course. My dad owns an expensive hifi seperates system and his amp made by Roksan which is 599 only has a volume control no bass nor treble. What hifi rated it 5 stars. So an EQ in a music player is a matter of taste but it should be there as an option

You just solved the riddle of why buy an i-phone. Cause its so simple that its so complicated in a purist way. |
