Well, THIS UI has led Nokia to a 37% world market share while SE's UI has led SE to a 5% market share!

@ SilveR
Now unbranded? How? Or you get a replacement Satio that's unbranded?

notice that the article makes no mention of all the previous "software"
crippled handsets that SE has put out !!!!
I'd jump ship to nokia if their handsets weren't so damned ugly .....

Nokia is just as bad with releasing hardware today, fixing software/firmware tomorrow.
Actually, even Apple did it with its recent iPhone update that caused serious problems; some enough to brick the phone completely! Did the press go to town on Apple when that happened? The blogs and some tech sites, the forums.. but the mainstream media? I don't remember it.
It's the nature of the beast. Early adopters always pay the price, and not just in a higher selling price in the first place!

Time for SE to re-brand again, something along the lines of, SE----Keeping DHL busy! lol
Idea for a new thread, what would a new SE re-branding strap line be?
Come on you guys, i am on my 3rd 902, some of you are on your 2nd or 3rd Satio, lets have some amusing fun at SEs expense, after all they have had our money and loyalty.
How about
SE a great reason to go back to town. again! |

Well, it seems like the S60v5 train is pulling to a halt. The N97 has been pulled off the shelves too. Some web sites are reporting that attempts to purchase the much-vaunted N97 from Vodafone UK's website result in being redirected to the newer N97 Mini.

Its strange because to me it seems everyone banging on about how the Satio is no longer for sale.. is lying.
More places other than CPW sell the phone. I spoke to Tesco at the weekend (their area manager in charge of the Tesco phone shops in their stores locally), and he had no information about the Satio being pulled from sale. He even said that if it was a serious problem they would have known about it already and done the same.
Neither does the SE website, which offers the phone on sim free or contract on all major UK networks. So, it would seem theres an awful lot of people on this website who are determined to poison the Satio's reputation through over hyped BS. No ?

Well having use a N97 running up to date firmware i had no issues with the phone. Except i couldnt get it on O2.
So id expect the same from Satio once new firmware is released. Oh and btw, i dont know if anyone noticed but SE are still advertising the Satio on UK primetime tv, so it cannot be all that broken..

I've just got home from a trip into town. Was supposed to be buying christmas presents but went into a few phone shops along the way. The CPW store in Hanley, Staffordshire are still selling both black and silver Satio's. I played with both all they both seemed fine software wise but I did manage to break the lens cover on both. It just completely came off in my hands. The silver one came out better though as only one side came off but the other side got stuck tight leaving the lens cover at an angle and about 1cm away from the phone :-(
They also had the black and the white Aino for sale along with O2 still selling the white Aino as well.
