I'm running the release candidate on Windows 7 on a Pentium 4 2.8GHz with 2GB ram and it flys. I would say it is quicker than XP and a lot, lot quicker than Vista.

Is it just me that noticed no speed differences when using Windows 7 over Vista?
Installed it a couple of weeks but had firstly about 3 different hardware things that didn't want to install on it, and then Chrome and Firefox seemed to constantly crash and the whole computer just slowed to a crawl..
Now using Vista again and it seems fine

Crappy Dell drivers maybe? Not fully compatible or optimised for windows 7? Or the other way round maybe, using generic drivers on Dell hardware?
I can't get the TV Tuner to install on my HP laptop because of the 'branded' driver but everything else went in fine.

we are running it now in a development and CAD environment, haven't had a single problem. Mind you we didn't have a problem with Vista either.
Win 7 just has nicer UI innovations.
