my asian unbranded W995 does not have any facebook shortcuts either. don't think it's region-based. |

That's weird because it was there when I tried all the W995 phones in HK before buying it. The HK sales flyer also said it had the Facebook key as a feature of the phone!
Phone is genuine if bought in the major phone stores. Verified through HK SE tech support also so I know it's genuine.
It was still there after the firmware update as well! It's probably meant for the HK market!

The email address is available when you log in to facebook using m.facebook.com i guess its different for every user. Very weird addresses btw! |

They're completely random so it's hard to remember. If only they could personalize it using our user names or something.

I have the facebook app on my w995, it only really works best when I am connected to wifi....anyways whenver I try to upload a photo from the mobile phone using the "send -> facebook" function, I ALWAYS get an error message "cannot upload to facebook". Even if I am logged in and everything...
anyone have any solutions?!

When you go in to the Facebook application, there is an options menu. One of those is 'Show in Standy'. If you change that to 'no', it should remove the Facebook shortcut and replace it with the Media one. |
