ive been buying all Cybershot flagships since birth, and suddenly (like a lightning from blue sky) i walk empty handed home from the Store.....isn't that remarkable.
i shot 9 pics yesterday with c901 (4 indoor and 5 outdoor) and only 1 outdoor became good, the rest became sort of pale (a hint, it wasn't my fault)...........so the million dollar question is....was it a "Monday example" i tried ?
the ones who became good, they became good, but the whole situation certainly made me insecure.
ps.....(for the record)...im amazed how many people who make statements without trying the product, (im not talking specific about this thread, i mean in general)

this (C901) is what i call one of the best 5MP camera phones...
finally i saw a phone from SE that can capture the right RED colors. (not like K850, C902,C903,C905,and now satio)
i think they have used a different sensor in this one (different from C902 and C903) |

RED colour captured by C901, IMHO, like RED by K770/T650. cmiiw |

C905 don't have problems with red... Even with iso 400.
And not,i'm not saying "c905 is better than".The overall quality of c901 is the #1.Real colors, fantastic details, nice exposure balance, good flash, nice macros etc etc.
When launch in south america i'll buy one.

Well i dont want to argue about wich is best but i try to take pics and play around with the phone and see. I let people make up their own mind from samples.
I understand Plankgatan also because the cam in this one seems very different from my earlier SE, the pics have more "punch" so to speak and i dont have to lower Ev to get them darker and "punchier" Seems to work in full auto. I also think the sharpening and postprocessing is different.
But im quite impressed by it and for being the first fw it seems to work nice. Extremely fast phone with nice buttons.
I dont think the c901 is better than c905 but i think it will meet most peoples needs for a small p&s. In good light the c902 and c901 are quite close i guess.

think the quality is identical to Samsung Omnia (SGH-i900), (i wouldn't be chocked to death if C901 had exactly same camera sensor as Omnia).
Omnia have also this sharp, straight contours with very clean quality and low noise (now i mean something positive)......the "cost" for this "features" is a bit lower Depth into the pictures. (if i guess, it depends of the Dynamic colour range every camera have...some have more and some less (of course)).
k800/k810, c902/W902 and C905 is some examples with good Dynamic colour range. (if we just talking SE phones).
this is how i define Depth.
and thats something i missing a bit with c901.........over and out...................

i dont think that, i think that the sensor is more identical like the Motorola ZN5 (WITH LESS SHARPEN) just check out the pictures taken by the NZ5 and looks similar not to the samsung XD
