I must say Senseme and Shake Control are absolute bolocks, have never used them once!! Hardly the USP of any walkman phones.
As for the best?

1. Total reliability, no stupid unexpected shutdowns
2. Great battery lifetime, like a week between charges
3. Fast UI
4. Great sound (for music) and great call clarity
5. Seamless USB and BT connectivity for file transfer and synchronization
6. Great impact and scratch resistence
7. Good photo quality (at least in good lighting conditions) for the occasional snapshot
8. Compact, light and easy to use.
Difficult to decide on priorities, #6 could easily have been the first one judging from the most recent concrete drop... just bounced as usual and nothing happened more than another little dent in the lens cover.
These are the features I appreciate the most from my phone, the current k750i as well as in future phones of mine. I expect a 'better' phone to have more readable buttons as my eyesight is not as good as it used to be, that's all. Maybe also an addition of reinforced impact resistance and weather proofing, never hurts. |

the raw intellectual energy required from you two intellectual giants to come up with those 2 insightful comments must have used a massive total of half a brain cell.

Though I tend to often disagree with Brightspark, "total reliability" is nothing I would expect from (or any other mobile phone manufacturer. Never owned a Nokia, though. Maybe they are?) and I'm with him on that point. |

On the "total reliability" point, maybe I've just been very lucky. My phone before this k750i was t610, this did a lot of unexpected shutting down, called people from within my pocket, etc...
This one simply behaves. I bought it rather late in the product cycle so most firmware issues were already taken care of, maybe that's part of why it behaves so good. |

"stupidspark" was uncalled for and kinda got me into the 'half a brain cell' bandwagon. But I do think "bright" hardly represents the negativity you're spreading throughout the forum. On the other hand, yes, reliabilty and stability of SE devices is at an all time low

So you mean the current phones are not at all what I'm used to with the four-year old k750i? Maybe I should call off my plans for an upgrade then. The phone is a tool for me and it needs to be totally reliable otherwise it has zero value.

(1) 3G/HSPDA
I wouldn't love my phone without this feature, as it's cut my browsing time down drastically. I do still use a few phones with EDGE and *shudder* GPRS browsing, but 3G is my love. I can only wonder how my browsing will pick up when LTE/4G rolls out. Also, other than calls and texts, all that I do rely on the internet, so the faster it is, the happier I am.
(2) TrackID
When my MP3 player dies, I tend to listen to the radio a lot. This feature has greatly helped me load up my MP3 player with music that I like, instead of wishing that I could listen to that one song that I heard one day while doing something...
(3) Bluetooth
I don't use headsets that much, honestly, but it's nice to send something to my phone from my computer without having to remove the M2 card or pull out another wire. Also makes sending files to another phone super easy. I do honestly miss having Bluetooth AND IR though... :'(
(4) The GUI
The only other interface that I have found to be acceptable is the Nokia interface, but I much prefer the SONY Ericsson interface, as it just feels more elegant...
(5) The accelerometer
While this is more of a recreational feature, I love it. It really trips people out when they see me moving my phone around, and then realize that I'm actually doing stuff on my phone by moving it around. It's also nice to control the music player by shaking it.
(6) The GPS
While this isn't absolutely necessary, it's a VERY handy feature. I used to use the Google maps that could locate me via the triangulation of the cell towers, but this is much more comforting, since it is true GPS.
(7) The ease of modifying A2 phones.
My sweet w760i is now even sweeter, having had the menu modified so that the features that I use are available to me, instead of what was thought that I wanted, in addition to getting rid of the PlayNow on the main menu.
(8) The community behind SE phones.
This may be stretching the topic a bit, but I have to admit, I enjoy having a great community to fall back on if I have questions regarding my phone. Even though it's slightly fallen from what it used to be, for the most part, everyone here knows what they're talking about and offers amazing help.
(9) The design
I can honestly say that all the SE phones I've own are beautiful. They are gorgeous, as opposed to some of the goofier looking designs out there...
(10) The ability to open Flash Lite
Okay, so this isn't specific to SE phones, but still, I kinda' ran out of things specific to SE's, so this is just another thing that I love. It's great to be able to use such a powerful programming language to create backgrounds, wallpapers and more for our phones.
