OK, magazine made me stop and look...
"A Nation mourns the death of it's brightest star"
I can only assume someone got fired for this, Jade was not a bright star and by no means is the whole nation in mourning.

Its good to know that in the end she has more than looked after her boys. She has apparently left them both 2 million pounds, and paid for all their schooling fees.
Apparently, the husband got feck all, which I personally think is great.

Did Jade actively promote screening for cancer? I had never seen her actively promote it (but I am a bloke so it obviously wouldnt have been aimed at the stuff I read etc..).
I saw a bit on the news on sunday where they interviewed the bishop who married her last month and he was calling for her to be made a saint. That is a really stupid thing to say in my opinion. Jade got famous for being thick and getting her baps out on telly and being racist. It was only when she got a terminal illness that she did anything good. There have been thousands of people that have done a lot more than her that deserve to be sainted before her.

Jade didn't actively promote screening for cancer, well, not until she had it, and the momentum started there.
If Jade saves 1 persons life, by just getting them to have a screening earlier, then I think she has done a good job. As for getting sainted, there are far more deserving people out there, as you say.

@ Masseur prostate cancer is also another one that can affect any age, my son had prostate cancer at the age of 2!!! yes 2years old, the tumour was the size of an orange, he was one of the first kids/ people to have chemo in this country touch wood he's now 32 but its very doubtful he'll ever have kids, saying that at least he's got his life, i also have a friend who just started his own business up who was 18 when it was discovered he'd got prostate cancer....he was in bits but thankfully he's ok now
All im saying things like this can actually happen any age
always look on the bright side of life...de dum..de dum..de dum.. Esato Feedback +31

am with fatreg on this...
I am all for celebrities bringing diseases to the forefront but what jade goody has done is basically use her celebrity status to gather money for her sons to have which is great. not once have i seen any sort of campaign by her though to raise the awareness even more than has been done or to make ppl aware of just how many ppl a year die of the same condition she has...
the media make it look like she is the only person to of died from this and that no one else does.
I reckon the media should jus be quiet now and lets move on |

Got it in one there voda_jon, its all the media hype that has caused this.

I was no fan of Jade's either, but in all fairness the media wouldn't have left her alone even if she had wanted them to. After all, she was only famous because of the tabloids and 'celeb' magazine's eagerness to continuously keep her in the limelight.
I don't think they would have stood back and left her in peace, so why not do a deal and get silly money for it if that's what they're willing to pay?

^^^ Many people. Personally, I hate the idea, but it's business, and if I were in a position of power, I'd do it before anyone else.
