K800 - I forgot how terrible sharpness was in original driver, contrast is awful too
C510 - a bit better contrast, sharpness is much better but a bit messy
W715 - camera from T700 (I guess by OmniVision). quite good, maybe too much contrast and colors saturation
as I expected, C510 is only slightly improved K800. not much after 2 years of development, zero progress in sharpening algorithm, it's awful. we are waiting for retail version to judge
Raiderski, I think the camera module is the same as C702, isn't it? I just checked Exif of both models they are the same... |

Here you find some impressions on how SmileShutter works on the C510:

But we like dumb blondes don't we?
To me C510 looks like a budget C902. Look at those side linings!

Hey, I was thinking about one thing...
In line with the new naming system this C510 (not C500) should be seen as a successor of something... So I'm asking, of what do you think it's supposed to be the successor?? A lot of web sites indicate it as K770's but I think that it's K550 because it's the second 5-series phone etc... So what??
It's just a curiosity...

not exactly a successor..... more like to be a replacement of the K770.
and yes i think it can be considered a successor to the K550. |

Yea it looks like the C702 camera module or 1 very simlar, The C702 takes better pics than this though probley because this is only a prototype at the moment the retail version will probley have the same pic quaity as the C702.

So, roughly speaking, it looks like a mixing between C702 and C902.

Isnt the new sensor actually worse than the old 1, it's alot smaller the C702's IMX018 has a 2.5 μm unit pixel size, the new IMX029 & IMX058 have a 1.75 μm unit pixel size which means there smaller.

Am I the only one who thinks C510 is a continuation/replacement for K610i?
