Indeed, Sony Ericsson may be fifth in terms of units sold, but its net sales were substantially higher than both LG and Motorola, reflecting the fact that its phones are more focused on the high end market (and thus high end prices) that the other companies. - source http://mobilementalism.com/20[....]ve-mobile-phone-manufacturers/
@Qvga,
I meant in terms of specs, against iphone. Since both have same form factor.
Ofcourse sales wise iphone will win over, just because, the i and the apple. |

Will it be the best dumb (oops,"feature") phone.
On the side note,lg seems to improve big time over the last few years.

Poor argument
That's your opinion. And I'm not obliged to give you any sorts of arguments about why I'll buy the C905. I was just making a statement.
When you feel sorry for SE, you automatically feel sorry for nightblade and plankgaton
"because the reason to get C905 is track ID"
Oh, just shut up.

Obviously i was wrong but there was me thinking you could only fit a Xenon flash in 2 thicker phone cos of capacitors. I wonder if the flash will be better than the Viewtys one cos that one was not very bright. Best flash so far is N82. |

You bring up a good point Bonovox. I really hope the xenon will be more powerful than their Viewty or the K850. Eargerly awaiting for a few sample pics and more detailed stats of this beauty. |

We need to look at the image quality now tho.
But, i dont need a full touch phone, I need a phone with a keypad. Its hard to type smses with a finger and working with them is pretty tiring, coz after using it for sometimes the screen starts lagging. |

its really annoying when i see comments like this. just because one is better spec'd, it does not mean its the better phone.
all depends on buyers needs/preferences. obviously the phone that suits them more is the 'better' phone.
for me, the c905 would be the better phone, i prefer a keypad of some sort over full TS

Needs and preferences? So far the only need and preference i've heard in this thread is that "i need a SE' and " i need track ID". Some needs those are!
so far on paper this beats C905 in sound quality(not a surprise), video playback, screen, video recording and we'll see about the camera. If this is the same price as C905 then the only reason to get C905 is because its a SE.
why, if the price is the same, is the only reason to get the c905 is because its a thats utterly rediculous!
even if the c905 was more expensive, id get it, again, right now, i prefer a keypad of some sort. not because its a
sure the lg has more features, but like i said, it does not mean its the better phone.
im out........

Good enough. Atleast you gave a reason to not get this phone unlike some geniuses here who would get SE because it has trackID.
@nightblade
on anyother forum with a little more strict mods, you'd be out in no time for merely giving "statements" as you call them without giving reasons. Most of your replies to almost all topics you post in are two or three word replies.

that certainly is a nice looking and spec'd phone.haven't used an LG before, but they are not well represented in n.z. anyway.things certainly are heating up in the high end market!!the new challenger to nokia?

I am expressing myself as briefly and clearly as possible. I don't like writing novels about why phone A is better than phone B *coughDogmanncough*, which would be a tad too tiresome to read.
And no, I wouldn't have been kicked out of the forum for such kind of "misbehaviour". Seriously, do you have a problem with me?

Hang on hang on....
am I reading this right!?
120fps in XVGA!?
So that's 1024*768 in pure 120fps video? oooooh.....
Even Sonys' H50 only does 30fps at 640*480
methinks some manufacturers have got to up the ante......
Nudge nudge wink wink Nokia......
are too busy with their walkman phones to be bothered with anything constructive, the K850i is an atrocious phone, I've had sagem phones that offer better build quality....

Nope, I'm afraid you're not reading it right, fatreg, it clearly says "QVGA" in the first post. I'm afraid that the CPU and the battery could find it hard to cope with a resolution such as XVGA.
As for QVGA vs NightBlade: I generally think QVGA is right, maybe except the stricter mods argument. While "feeling sorry for NB" is merely a slight joking pinch, not an attack of any sort, I've seen forums so strict that they'd warn you for something like that. Luckily, Esato is not such a place.
@NB: I don't actually find these "novels" as you call them annoying, they can be pretty useful while choosing a phone.

You guys really think that this phone has much better specs than C905 as i see it the only thing that this phone has to brag over the C905 was the better video recording. everything about the platform's flexibility and functionality is still questionable we all know that and since this is a non-Os phone it supports java applications, i wonder how can this beat C905's powerful a200 platform esp. that java applications have some issues dealing with touchscreen interfaces

ISO up to 1600 in a cameraphone? Nice, that'll give you some very noisy pictures on that tiny camera sensor.
Anyway, I'd still prefer C905 over this any day because it lacks a keypad.
Other than that, it looks good. Let's just hope LG won't put an awfully slow and sluggish UI in this, and that they don't mess up with the GPS and wifi, as it would kill what seems to be a decent phone.
