It's certainly bigger than the SE one... which was the point. |

then it might certainly be better also. anyway thats not the point. what mizzle still didnt tell me if the fast port did indeed do noise canceling, (which is not true because how the hell is a port going to detect external noises) , then why did SE come up with a NC headphone

You still have not understood.
The headset uses the phone's processor via the fastport and therefore does need an built-in processor, result is a smaller headset. |

so so far the only advantage the fastport brings is a smaller noise cancelling headphone? |

And the fact it operates all the functions of the connections of the phones instead of 100 holes for diffrent puropses. And that's it, or maybe so much.
So you see, the problem's not big by itself but aroused by some hyper-picky, problem-searching users. Even if it's just one advantage of fastport, it's DEFINATLEY not the DISADVANTAGE, right??

whats the point of the adapter to connect headphones. it makes the cable long enough to use as a skipping rope. |

Well it's really a shame the 3 of you can't follow your own advice.
As i never said there was anything wrong with using an adapter and all i did was point out that SE were talking yet again more BS as they do.
The Fastport just can't and doesn't offer more choice it restricts and limits your choice to just it. Now if none of you can accept that simple fact you really are beyond all help.

My eldest son and I were looking at a 5310 yesterday (I think he should get a V640i personally...) and it has 3 different sockets in the bottom - 3.5mm jack, charging socket and standard mini-USB. Looked kind of messy I thought.

Why? Are music lovers not intelligent enough to put a 3.5 mm jack in an adapter?
