I already said who, so why do you ask ? Because you haven't seen something does not necessarily makes it the truth, does it ? I have seen it, as well as traced (apperently).
The part of the V3 keyboard that lights up in the dark sticks out a bit (the keyboard surface is not exactly smooth). Its not much, but enough to leave traces on a greasy screen. There may of course be some variance among different V3 specimen, but some (like mine) definitely leaves traces on the screen whether you like it or not (for me the top buttons used for e.g. ring type and camera selections leaves the most visible trace).
But as I said, its not a big deal since the traces are gone as soon as the screen is wiped (I have to wipe the screen from time to time anyway due to grease).

If it only needs a wipe then I see no big problem here. No screen stays clean for ever.

If i remeber rightly, my Z600 had some plastic nodules on the main body of the phone, so when shut, there was a gap between the two halves; and its still pristine.
However, my Nokia N93i had no such nodules, and marks were left on the sreen and its surround, only problem was that i couldn't get the marks off the surround. . what happened to solid build quality of the past. Oh well!

You can use guys the screen protector for K850 since they have same screen size right. Im currently using one for my W980. It works great!

I loved this phone so much just because of the perfection and just after watching these marks I nearly cried.
I think you have issues lol |

Stop fighting!
Some do, some don't
a cheap one for £2.99 will do for the purpose that you want it.

I was so silly it was just a mark and I even didn't bother to wipe it. The EXIM SPUC is on its way for this but believe me I love this handset just because of the music capabilities it possesses and its eye catching design.
If they have made it so perfect in every department why it has got this problem, but since all these guys cleared my mind so I order a SP for that, because I didn't want the music capability it had to let go.
I have owned almost all top of the class Music Players and handsets and I eagerly waited for this phone since it came into existence. I dig my standalone music players and all my previous music oriented handsets for this charming beauty.
Just try one... If you dare. LOL
Regards

And what majority would that be if I may ask (in this thread at least, the "majority" of 3 out of 4 says a V3 can show key prints on the screen ) ?

Possibly, but not very likely (my V3 has no scratches that I have been able to see). The keays do not rubber against the screen, they just touch it lightly and if the screen happens to be greasy, the touch will show (at least if you look in proper lighting and angle).
I would guess, its same for other clams having similar issue.

Then either you haven't used too many clam shells or just talk BS. My Moto V3 leaves key marks on the screen as well (also confirmed by tranced), so its nothing unique to SE as you claim.
Wiping off the screen from the shirt usually removes the trace of the keys.

i've never seen it either my own clamshells or those of others with non-SE phones. only SE phones. my mum has a v3 and there is no such mark on it, nor those of others. now who's talking BS.
