I got mine last week. Love it!
I want to know how to exit apps properly... I am so used to just clicking back to the main screen. I do that now, and then I have to go into the task manager and "exit" the apps. Guess it's just different to me. |

Why would you want to exit your applications? It's got lots of RAM memory to keep them running in the background. Makes it much easier for you.
Anyway, press the icon at the top right area. That brings up the task manager.

I finally bought the G700 and am loving it. It doesn't have a business card scanner though.

To those interested in new firmwares: organizer version R6K835 is available on the internal SE update server.

Installed the above-mentioned new firmware, but can't say anything interesting about it, as it is on a test phone (used only for new software developments), and have currently no time to look around - sorry!

Well yeah, flv support is one thing the P1 is missing...

G700 camera has no focus and you cannot take close up photos. I guess you need that to be able to take a picture of a business card. That would make it impossible to have a card scanner on the G700. Correct me if I'm wrong

What is the casing made from? I read on one site it was plastic and another says metal?

^^^ A mix of metal and plastic. The battery cover is soft flexible plastic which works surprisingly well. One of two SE phones I've owned that didn't squeak and creak (the other is the W900i).
Edit: Had to check again as I've given it to my daughter. The outer body of the G700 is all plastic, with rubberized plastic on the sides for good grip.

Has anyone had issues with synchronizing their G700 with outlook? I always get 'USB device not recognized' errors. I have tried everything - installing symbian drivers, reinstalling PC suite and master resetting the phone. Nothing works. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. |
