My 15 month old Dell laptop has a broken hinge (common problem I since found out) and a battery that no longer charges.
I wouldnt buy another Dell laptop.
What model is that? I've had an Acer thereafter the HP then my newest
addition the Dell inspiron 1720. I sold the Acer but am keeping the HP. As far as the build quality goes my Dell is superb, way better than my HP even the Acer didn't come close.
I'm actually considering sticking with Dell for my next purchase because of the excellent build quality this thing has.

Yup, I have an Inspiron too and it's pretty solid. The multimedia buttons on the front seem a bit flimsy to me but they've holded out so far.

Agree with you there Cyco, even their coating is not up to scratch- at least on mine. That's just about the only minor issue I'd say I have with it. |

Hi again thomas,
If you want to buy those laptops you must be aware of the major issue with the faulty logic board. Those machines get so hot that they desolder the gfx chip from the mother board.
Other than that they're great little machines.

you have to buy the right machine, they only accept certain serial numbers.
