This phone seems to be suffering from an identity crisis. GPS+ walkman?? :S

OH I'm loving it!

We thought the same thing from the W900 ... Walkman with no built-in FM radio, hehe.

Again..... SE white papers are full of lies.. i hate lies

it says that this handset can record QVGA@30fps but only 15fps in reality

they say that the w890 can record QVGA@30fps but only 15fps in reality

they say that the G700 can record QVGA@30fps but only 15fps in reality

they say that the G900 can record QVGA@30fps but only 15fps in reality

they said that the K850 can record QVGA@30fps but only 15fps in reality

i WANT a SE handset that can live up to it's white paper specs.

I'm wondering if darker video spots or lack of intense light or lack of vigorous movement leads to lower fps rates when video recording. Example; in broad daylight on a hot sunny clear sky day, recording someone standing in one place talking may result in higher fps than the same person in the shade. Just a hunch. PS is there a thread specifically for this? I'm curious to these findings. THanks.

You can record with effects btw. Unless it's something I have missed from other phones.

Review by MR: http://www.mobile-review.com/review/sonyericsson-w760-en.shtml

Impressions

The W760i’s ring tones are reasonably loud and won’t let you down in most environments, nor will its reception quality. The vibro alert is a tad above average strength-wise.

The phone is set to hit the market early in May and will retail for around 650 USD, which makes quite a contrast with the W910i’s ever-falling price of 500-550 USD. Like we said at the beginning of the review, consumers bent more on fashion will like the W910i better, whereas those who want to get superior sound quality, extra abilities in the music player and GPS navigation all in one package will have the W760i at the top of their short-lists. It is not a mass-market solution, and it doesn’t have direction competition at that primarily due to its perplexed positioning. If it weren’t for the Sony Ericsson W910i, it would be popular, but with this neighbor its chances are slim. Although we have nothing against the W760i – it is a reasonably interesting phone with a unique flavor to it.

from my observations, sometimes it's better off not knowing.

Is there another phone cheaper and similar? PLEASE HELP PLEASE HELP! I dont really care much about the camera just music and visuals.

It's pretty much the same as in W910.

I agree, just love it, dont worry bout the absence of landscape interface, quality of pics ticken are pretty good. Think it has the qualities of being one of the best walkman models.
