Davinci still won't work, it just hangs on awaiting phone answer when trying to do an EROM update.

Is it the GDFS?

have you tried pressing 2&5 (doesnt work with xs++, it hangs even on a fully working phone) instead of 'c'?

otherwise have you got a service cable?

It gets upto the remove usb cable, remove battery, then re-insert battery and cable pressing 2+5.

I hold 2+5 and then it hangs on "waiting phone answer".

It's weird, one minute the computer cannot recognise the phone so I have to pop the battery out and leave it for a bit.

It'll then recognise it.

No, I don't have a service cable i'm afraid.

I have just tried connecting to Davinci using 2+5 and I get the following :-

(#) DaVinci Service Client v22.35
New device connected on USBF3
Device Identification Started...
Checking Files...
SEMCUSB 2+5 Mode Detected. Use This Mode For Recovery Only!

Then at the bottom "waiting phone answer".

Soo annoying this is!!

right, if that doesnt work either:

1. get setool2lite 1.11 and drag the main onto qamaker.exe (in the setool directory). you will then have a quick access vkp patch. this method will take around 15 mins to complete

Load up the software and change the Phone Type to K800.

In the big box on the right (Files area), click on Add and select the MAIN file.

Now, in the MISC files area, browse to the VKP file that was created before ...

Now click on the FLASH button

Connect the phone as per usual by taking out the SIM card, then the battery. Re-insert the battery and whilst holding down C button on the phone, connect it to the USB cable (other side of it should already be plugged into your computer).

Flashing will begin. After a while, it will ask you to remove the cable, remove the battery, re-insert battery, click READY and then re-connect it to the USB cable whilst holding down the C button.

Again, after another while, it will ask you about the script file, just click on the NO button to apply.

After a couple of minutes, it will be completed and you can disconnect the phone from the USB cable. (the program will look like its not doing anything, WAIT UNTIL YOU SEE 'ELAPSED XXX SECONDS' then it is safe to unplug the phone)

(taken from here)

or

2. get/borrow a service cable and attempt the flash again
