Good words Pachy!
What is the point of making smaller phones? With a Bluespoon in my ear I care less about the size of phones nowadays! The P800 has great capabilities and all the features I need in a nice package. |

Since I have a busy business schedule and travel frequently, being able to have basic computing features integrated with my cell, as well as PDA functions will be a GODSEND. |

My dream phone is T68i-size with the ability to fold it up, like nokias fatass 9xxx, with qwerty kbd etc. Mp3 support, some sort of expandable memory, AND a ssh-client!
Thats my dream phone :)

In Conclusion,
Maybe P800 isn't the dreaming phone for you or for too many people... There will be no phone or any other thing that will satisfy all people. Try to think that why there are so many models of phones from the same company like SE. That is the point. Some people will say that T68i is the best for them an others will say no T300 or T100 is the best. That depend in there opinions and uses. After some time SE maybe reproduce the P800 (maybe P800i) with the same features or even more (with digital video camera) with smaller size or other design like the SE prototype Phone we saw. Any way, if you compare the SE P800 with Nokia 9xxxi which is the competitor you will se P800 is the winner. But if you compare P800 with T68i or T300 you will get a comparison error, because they have different uses.
Why SE delay P800 Phone until year 2003?
SE T68i is the best phone of the year 2002 as some magazines said.
SE P800 will be the best phone for year 2003 bee sure.
That is the target. SE will eat the market and will be the most powerful mobile phone in year 2004 or 2005.

@SE T68, That was`nt th best conclusion i`ve ever read,
The first part of you post states that the "best" phone is dependant on your particular needs, i agree fully, however in the second part of your post, near the end you say p800 will be the best phone of the year.

I have 2 complaints with the P800...
1.) TOO thick (not too big)... it's an inch thick... I wish they could've made it thinner... even at the expense of the camera. I was hoping for a T28 profile.. 15mm thick, or so. Maybe a future camera-less model?
2.)Color... blue is fine...I like blue... but ONLY blue??!?!? Silver & gray would've been nice... or all silver, or silver and black, or all black like the older Ericssons.
Other than that, the P800 is the best phone/PDA model out now...not too big, excellent feature set, tri-band, excellent interface, excellent screen size (wish it was 16-bit like the OTHER SonyEricssons), excellent memory expansion.
Oh, one more 'complaint'...UGLY stylus. I wish they just used a standard Palm/Clie stylus... I wanted to replace it with the Cross Pen/Stylus combo. Oh well... The Cross Matrix pen will do for now. |
