As far as I know, the logo is on the simcard and the P800 refuses to use any other logo. That is my conclusion from reading topics here. But feel free to correct me if I am wrong.
Oh and if you manage to switch it and then upgrade to latest version, you will get the old logo back.

If anyone of you are interested in a double CD pack with 1GB of software for your P800 then go to EBAY and search for 'P800 platinum CD'

only £6 for 1gb of software!!!!!!

whats included?

- emulators and classic games such as mario kart, sonic, monkey island and quake
- apps such as IR remote, gprs, windows pocket
- videos such as movie trailers, funny videos, some lasting 10 mins
- mp3 files(around 50 songs)
- ringtones and screensaver(over 1000's)

guy who sells them is respectable as well as he has a feedback from customers of 100% positive.

i know he posted a long time ago, but people like 'iamphonemad' really piss me off. they sell their crappy CDS on ebay expecting people to pay them money for applications and games that theyve blantently downloaded for free on the internet. we all know how to get these apps, so please dont think people here are mug enough to give you their hard earned cash. moan over.

Can anyone please point me in the right direction to updating my firmware? I'm getting the Ecamcompatibility error message and from what I can tell (of searching the internet for hours) updating my firmware should sort out my problem.

my e-mail is tgardner149@aol.com anyone would prefer to e-mail me instead of posting on this forum for whatever reason.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

you are suppose to go to a local SE service center, they will flash your P800 for you upgrading the firmware at the same time

the recent one for the P800 is the R2B (R2F is not the firmware it for gsm)

remember you must do a backup of your phone before upgrading since evrything will be erased. you can do a search on my-symbian.com if you want to learn more about firmwares [addsig]
