I'm not very impressed with the video player either. I hope someone'll make a better one which take use of all of the screen(sideways/widescreen), and perhaps another format than mp4 will be better too...

I have a thing called Oplayer(video player) on my 7650 which plays .mvq files or something like that, and the quality is much better than the built in player in the P800. The files are also more compressed than mp4 so they take up less space, but the amount of media available for the Oplayer is poor(you can convert yourselves, but it requires some "know-how") and I don't know if the Oplayer people will make it for the P800. But I'm sure that something will come....

I need a better internet browser, better media-player, a decent customizing app with profiles, some good 3D games and a filemanager, to start with!!!

I know it'll all come in due time, just have to be patient....Arrrrgh..

There is a good Filemanager for it.

Good idea about playing movies on the side - "widescreen" to me that seems like the obvios program to make! it would make viewing movies very good. anyone know if a program exists to do this?

That would make the file size even larger. if it can't take/play smaller files, how much more if the video is fullscreen?

By a new programme having more efficient coding.

Opera is faster than the built in browser.
The Orange start-up & shutdown movies are full screen.

If a 200MHz iPAQ can play DivX (type mp4) files full screen then I'm sure someone can write a full screen C++ programme for the P800.

well you just have to wait for a good developer to produce one. maybe when that time comes, there will be large msduo's to save the movies with.

guys, VICSvideo player has been out for a while... it plays videos full screen (sideways) ... and the videos aren't that much larger.

Although i don't know what to use to make videos for it... it uses .vic or .vsf extensions.

psikey the Orange start up movies are generic screensavers used accross the Orange colour range!

Does anyone know where i can find some more full screensavers??

I also need MSN and Hotmail to work, but it seems this will never happen!
