it's depends on your requirements if your usage is just take a photos,or video I think N95 is better but if you use for checking email or others business activities I think p1i is better because it's a touch screen and it's also have a qwerty keyboard. |

Can't search for them now but the new Motorola V9 is one and believe it or not i even liked the SE T650 for non smart phone and would of got one if i used a non smart phone.
I have also said good things about the TYtN 11 but it's just not a device for me as i no longer am a touchscreen fan and it is more business oriented than i need.
Yes my devices of choice all are from Nokia since June 2006 but then that's because they offer and deliver best for my needs currently if and when something better comes along i will move to that no hesitation. As i really don't see the need or advantage to any consumer in just buying by brand in fact i would go as far as to say it is totally insane and counterproductive.
My history was all Ericsson and SE up to UIQ3 and June 2006 but unfortunately currently there is not a single SE smart phone i would consider maybe and hopefully the P5 or what ever it is called will bring me back. But i certainly wouldn't be an early adopter that's for sure as currently i am still appalled by how SE relate to their customers no response to the open letter sent November 1st is a great example of SE's arrogance and rudeness and total disrespect for it's many once loyal users.

Let's say it like this:
-Sms: moderate (4-5 per day)
-Wap: 30-45 mins per day
-Photo: only for memories like a day at ski or a sexy girl at beach
-Video rec: only if there are any funny situation or if my gf accepts to film an intimate moment
-Games:30 mins per week
-Video player: 2-5 video clips per day
-Walkman: never
-Wifi: ok but I preffer using my PSP
As you see I am moderate on everything but what I want too is QUALITY on demand, like quality video, quality screen...

@ Vegetaleb
N95 should last you just over one day, and its the perfect phone for what you want, i don't think we can take this any further, N95 is one of the best Multimedia Smartphones out and when it comes to what you want the P1 doesn't stand a chance against N95 except for the Touchscreen and QWERTY board part.

Well from what vegetaleb has said he wants to do the P1 loses on every single thing not one of those is it's performance or spec's better. Maybe if you can you could try and explain how you have reached this amazeing conclusion then as this would be fascinating to see. As well as of course being totally and utterly impossible and quiet simply not supported by any of the facts.

N95 is the way to go!
and now with the latest firmware revision has 20% more battery, better memory management, and everything is better, like camera cold boot time.
N95!

I may add that S60 (N-Series) has the Flash-Lite support within its browser, which if you are an avid U-Tube fan could watch lots of videos (or until its battery goes), meanwhile the P1...or any SE phones do not support.
As experienced with my P990i, SE does not care releasing a shitty Software and leave you with it. At least Nokia has been releasing upgrades in order to clean up most of their messy bugs.
I have nothing to say regarding the SE Modem, which is worth saying, is the top class in its kind. But Softwarewise... may go to heeell!!!!

I would also say the N95 - no question Just make sure it has the latesf FM installed ! Keep in mind the P1 is on the way out - SE has scalled down Symbian (quite a lot) over the last year and so have the 3-th party software producers The UIQ users rely more and more on wasteful java programs (games). But then again, becase of little demand, the P1's price has come down a lot and you may 'score' a bargain if are prepared to 'hunt' for it. Feature wise there is no contest really (unless you are a SE fan). I hope you find my comments useful

Gotta have a touch screen. Only the P1 has one compared to the N95.

From what Vegetaleb stated n details his way of using mobile task, I would say IMO that both phones can do him a perfect job.
what is left that its hes decision & i believe whatever his choice is its correct.
If u don't mind the big size of N95 then u can go for it. Otherwise the choice of the small slim size of the P1i compared to N95 is a good option as well.
I used both phones & in my PERSONAL opinion i kept P1i due to the followoing reasons:
1 - The small slim size of the P1i compared to the brick size of N95.
2 - The robust solid OS of the P1i. It can run more the 20 tasks without 1 sweat from it. and especially after the new fw the response of the phone is very fast as well. The only Nokia phone that can match the same performance is the Nokia Communicator E90.
3 - The Qwerty KB. since I'm a heavy messages user.
as for the N95, I don't recall any other mobile in the world that have rich features like it. So if ur looking for the many features then don't look for any except the N95 8G version. |
