@A L 3 X....the best way to feel the build quality is to test one yourself....(its hard to explain things like that)

the qualtiy is realy good....it should be VERY strange if Sonyericsson made k850 (their new Flagship) with poor quality.....dont you think ??????

how are you finding the housing and build quality etc....like people compaining of dust behind screen and such....this is a worry for me as i seem to be rather unlucky and always get phones with little build quality issues...maybe i will be lucky this time

theres no point in askin him this cos its obvious wot his answer will be.

k850 is the best phone in the world and there is nothin wrong with it, despite loads of ppl saying otherwise on esato..........

If u have decided the k850i then go with it.

I have one thing to say and one thing to request from you.

I want to say

"This is how faulty the SE Cybershot have become"

I want to request

After u have bought the phone, there is dedicated thread for K850i bugs
please post the bugs there so that it can be rectified.

Thanks

to be fair, there are some threads and post about certain bugs ( dust in cam for example ) fw bugs are "normal" now a dasy at almost every barnds, those are usually fixed... first impressions are usually taste of matter, of course an se fan will focus mainly on the good things in the first line and "forgive" some lacks... thats normal, when u feel for a brand

Dust behind the screen is inevitable, in my opinion

Even when I had the Nokia 8600 Luna, which was probably the most solid phone I've ever had, that had dust under the screen as well

i have noticed u reply to any critism of k850 by sayin the person isnt using it rite, or they are stupid or wotever.

fact is, k850 isnt a great phone, a lot of people have said they dont like styling, and yea it has had problems.

and yes i did buy the phone but sold it same day as it was so dissapointin. got the w910i instead.

Get the Nokia N82 (ducks as SE fanboys chuck rocks!).

But seriously, I only know about the W580i which I got through AT&T here stateside and flashed via davinci to take the ugly AT&T crappola out.

As far as build quality, I will admit that the slider is a bit loosey goosey. But EDGE works wonders here, runs applications (JAVA) pretty quickly.

The lights on the slider are fun. but after a while become just a novelty. Now the keypad has not cracked for me (at least not yet) as some have claimed on here. The WALKMAN player if fine. M2 memory is fine also. Haven't tried anything larger than with the 512 stick it came with.

Pictures are just ok.

Softkeys (these are the ones non-numeric keypad I assume) are a bit tricky. I don't have large hands, but I fat finger stuff sometimes if I am not careful. You have to get used to the buttons since if you don't completely veer up, you'll end up hitting the button below it.

Same goes for the navi-circle thing. Sometimes I fat-finger the buttons to the left or right respectively.

Oh and I really dislike volume keys on the left-hand side and sideways fast port.

Other than that, screen is brilliant, battery is good and call quality is fine also.

THe W580i at the moment is the stable phone.
Both the K850i and W910i have too many bugs, but flashing them can remove some bugs.
New flashes are coming , so that problem must be sorted.
