Im on the 8.50 per month with 300 mins & 500 txts. the half price line rental runs out next month so i wasnt expecting that id be able to carry on with the k850i at 8.50.

My bills are usually 25 quid per month ish anyway as i always go over the 300 (off peak) mins.

They offered me 25 quid per month for 300 mins and 400 txts, will probably have to pay towards the k850i though.

Checking the 3 store website i can see they have a good deal at 900 mins/txts per month, however the k850i isnt available. Anybody know if 3 are planning on releasing the k850i?

as far as i am aware the unlimited texts and unlimited o2 to o2 calls (which replaced o2 long weekends) is only available directly through O2 not through CPW, since long weekends was deff not available through CPW

And what is wrong with getting the K850i for free on £35 a month on a 12 moth tariff? Did you read the price comparison post? You would actually pay less money this way then if you take a cheaper tariff and pay towards the handset!

I seriously wouldnt understand why anyone buying a K850i on O2 wouldnt get it on the 12 month £35 or 18 month £30 tariffs. Oh, I can understand why they would get them on higher tarris for more minutes XD.

But, you would actually pay the same amount or more money if you take the phone on a cheaper tariff then the ones on which it is free, and you would get a lot less minutes and texts.

Common sense and a calculator are good things to use together

Delivery is expected on the 15th or 16th...!

in all honesty that doesnt sound anything special at all, utld txts is all well but no one really needs more then about 7-800. and if u go with a cashback deal such as cpw, they do the O2 18m £35 tarrif 600 mins + 500txts, for £25p/m via cashback. then o2 are offering unltd txts on that as well so thats the same deal as urs but with double the mins. loads of other deals similar to this. so urs doesnt sound anything special espcially considerin u've been with them 3 years.

It might not sound great, but neither does that offer. I'd avoid 18 month contracts... That's a bit too long to keep a phone for in my opinion. I like to change about every 9 months, therefore, 12 month contract is better for me. I've had 5 phones in 3 years on O2. You don't even have to wait 12 months to get a new one.

That is indeed correct. The long weekends promotion was only available through o2 direct channels (store/internet/phone). The new promotion is at the moment exactly the same deal.

well that offer is pretty much double wot ur getting for the same price. i mean 18m contracts, we're only talking an extra 6m, and most of the time they let u upgrade 2 months early, in my case 3 months early. so in fact it could be only 3/4 months more, but ur getting a much better deal.

reason why i say ur offer didnt sound great is cos uve been with them 3 years as well. ive been with them almost 18months, and ive got 500 min xnet + 100txts for £15 p/m

Long Weekends is still available if you ask for it, it's just not being promoted anymore.

Like a few people have mentioned, if your paying £8.50 a month they'll be happy to be shot of you.

CPW don't FORCE you to take your phone back, you have a 90 day period that starts 9 months into your contract to change it IF YOU WANT TO, if not then you loose out. You can change it for the same phone again from what I understand too, means you get a new one with a 'from scratch' warranty.
My opinions on this forum are that of my own and not of the company I work for.

I do to, but what T-mobile do now is that they rip-off 12 month customers on their upgrades, and also, the 18 month tariff I'm changing to is Sweeeeet!

If I want a phone within the 18 months, I can always buy one I guess.

I called o2 retentions yesterday and was offered the K850i free on Online 35 - 1000 texts and 400 minutes on a 12 month contract. Usually £35 month but got a £10 discount per month for 12 months.

Quite happy with that deal!

Just keep trying, say your going to leave and eventually someone will offer you a good deal!
