mmm I can never use a case with a phone, I already cant handle the normal thickness adding a case just spoils it. Frankly I dont care if it scratches very rare over all the years that I have been using a phone without a case that I have damaged it.
But I know what you mean when you apply that rule to other people

how comes, that e90 deosnt support the well known and working fring app? just curious...
If I may add: I spoke to them as well. They are polishing it up for the E90. Also it has to be signed by Nokia. They said a week or so. Can't wait. I am tempted to by IM+Skype by ShapeServices.
Hey Dogmann, is there a Vox or Flikr config file like on the N95? I don't think there is. If so let me know mate.

Hey guys, to address the sound issue. Nokia is aware and it "should" be taken care of in the next upgrade. Apparently the lawsuits that Apple faced over the volume of music has put a fear in phone and media device manufacturers. That aside, I am pretty pleased with the E90. In my opinion a step up. Having transparent OS's on either side is sweet.
@the persons that said Fring should work. It does but will not run as it reads the phone model and it knows that the E90 is not supported. It will be soon though. The voice assist features are cool. I just tell the phone who to call or what app to start and it does. Nice touch.
Hey Marc, let me know about that Vox thing. I am trying to set it up on the 90 but unlike the N95 it does not have the config setting, or maybe I am missing them.
Cheers all.

@themarques
Really don't worry it just isn't that big, just get a new pair of jeans that aren't ball breakers and if that's how you want to carry it you should be fine IMO.
@sapporobaby
Don't do it have a little patience and wait for Fring is my opinion it is still the best app for the job and i really have faith that they will have it ready soon.
Funny you should ask that i couldn't get the sms from Vox to arrive at my E90 have opened a support question but no answer yet unlike Fring who answered within a matter of hours.
There is no Flickr integration into the E90 Gallery and to be honest I hadn't got round to trying to set it up yet, good luck would be interested to know if you succeed or not.
OK now you are are confusing me where have you heard they intend to resolve or work on the Music player Volume issue, as at first i wasn't sure if i was imagining it or not. But it really was enough of a difference for me to reach my current conclusion. Have Nokia just said they will improve volume or that they will give it the same Music Player as the N Series? If only they had given their Flagship E Series the same Music Player to start with i wouldn't of even considered selling. Now i am not sure what to do, as if it is only a slight improvement i would not be satisfied with that and would then have an older device to move as now it is only 4 days old and in very short supply. Not loooking to make a profit but do intend to re coup my outlay, decisions decisions errrr Nokia you have me riled.

@Dogmann,
Thanks dude. I carry my E90 in my pocket as well as the Nokia case. I put a Boxwave Crystal screen protector on it and I am rolling. The build quality is very good. I like the sturdiness of the construction. Now all they need to do is fix the few S/W bugs and we might have a winner here.
I hope Nokia does not cave and include a fax. Digital Senders are the new fax.

Any link to the improved volume story as i really need to decide what to do?
Not really sure what you mean by S/W bugs as besides the Music player volume everything was great for me no problems at all.
As to Fax i am pretty sure it won't get Fax support as IMO it is a technical issue more than anything else as Fax runs at such a slow speed compared to even basic 3G i believe it would just produce a continuous error report and keep trying to re send and that is why it no longer supports Fax IMO.
If Fax is really needed there are E- Mail to Fax services available.

yeah digital fax is the way forward, I really cant stand faxes and when people say please send a fax it annoys me cause I have to go out looking for one.
I wanted to purchase something once and they asked for a copy of credit card via fax naturally its gonna look shite once its received on there end..we spent 20 minutes arguing about how best to send the image, I kept telling the guy dont u have email and all he could seem to understand was fax fax must be fax...I said whats wrong with email...well he said I could digitally alter the picture, I said I could do the same with a fax then he caved in and allowed me to email...
I just use a company called myfax central to fax any word documents, really good.

Hey Marc,
Just my contacts at Nokia. They are really, really trying hard to make these two products (N95, and E90) super flagship winners. For the most part the E90 is 98% of what I wanted and expected it to be. Little things, like the Vox support missing is what takes it down .02% but this is really nit picking.
Nokia upgraded several other phones and gave them A2DP support, and other features. Seems like they are trying to steal a bit of the old iPhone thunder.

Many thanks for the info and yes i had noticed that not only the N73 got A2DP but also now the N93i is also getting it, although not the N93. But my real issue is not A2DP as i really do prefer a plugged in solution for listening to Music it is the fact that just a little boost in volume won't be sufficient for what i want. I really don't feel like gambling and patience waiting for it to happen is not my strongest quality.
I think i am going to have to acknowledge that at least for now a two device strategy is still best for me. I will eagerly await the new announcements due on the 29th and try and hold off for the next gen E61 as i originally planned. I am going to miss the E90 for sure just a shame it doesn't fulfil all my desires.

shozu integrates vox and flickr into your e90 applications menus, and works a treat.
Shozu also integrates Qipit (email to fax service, free). Qipit works on its own through email as well. Very handy for handwritten faxes, or to fax images of not-easy-to-document things like wall charts and overhead slides. Just snap a pic, send to Qipit, they convert to pdf for you, and you can get back the pdf image via email, or have Qipit fax it for you anywhere. And its all free.
Fax productivity has never been better.

Thanks dude. I downloaded it and installed it. I do not see a Vox link or config app. How do you go about this?
Cheers.
