Thanks you guys, but I need distinctive problems you are finding and are reproduceable on other devices also.
I am now working on getting the device ready with Microsoft Exchange... If anyone has an idea how I get it working feel free to discuss this to me. Which software do I need? And what does the activesync support mean??? Only mail support?
I have already mentioned some issues in the past week. I will make a new mail with new issues.
I am also gonna delete Swiss Manager. I just do not need it anymore. The P1i works fine without it.....

Actually, SM Pro does not prevent memory leaks, even on P990...its benefits are those stated by Lisa...IMO Swiss Manager and SMAN will still be usefull on the P1, because UIQ3 normal task manager SUCKS

@Lisa that is correct but I need it for the task killing. And that is not needed anymore....
Furthermore I have installed the new cradle today and the usb cable is too freaking short.... :s:s

Having all the applications in memory makes a huge a difference in the speed of the user interface; everything just runs very smoothly with no delay whatsoever. Web is extremely fast and an RSS update must be 10 times faster than on the P990. Email is also very fast, which makes the flashing of the screen as it retrieves emails evev worse. The P1i is just as fast as the series 60 devices (E90, E61, E61i - sold these yesterday!) but with a much richer interface.
With basically all the phone applications loaded along with Mobipocket Reader (which takes about 3Mb) I still have ~50 Mb free. I have not had a single 'application could not be started'. So no worries there. Also no restarts, but I was not getting those with the later firmwares on the P990 either.
The problems of the P990 firmware remain though. If a note or an email gets too big there is an error, application aborts, and nothing is saved. With the P1i it seems to happens later than on the P990, but still happens.
A small niggle is that the standard theme has a bug in that the vertical scroll bar has not been designed correctly with the 3 small rules in the middle of the bar, off center and disconcerting to the eye.
Very Thanks for your reply mate, now i'm very convinced that SE is doing it's job better in P1 and should possibly in W960. no more UI slowdowns and memory leaks(which are the worst issues in symbian ever!), though the bugs are still there i'm sure it would be fixed in P1 updates soon.

The main problem with Exchange Activesync (tried it on P990 and see that the version is the same on the P1) is that once installed it disables PC Suite and synchronization with Outlook on your PC. So that if you, like myelf, only want to get the email from the Exchange server, you lose the ability to synchronize your contacts, calendar, and tasks with the PC. I could not figure a way out to reenable the PC synchronization short of uninstalling Exchange Activesync. |

That would be an issue! So I need to test this so that SE can fix this.... Can support me with the correct installation for the P1i... I do not have it and want to use the upcoming period..... If issues do occur I can enter them to Sony Ericsson.

1. no D-pad or joy stick which make hard to use with one hand
2. only QVGA @15fps at 3gp

I can't understand how SE is doing it's job better. Apparently all the P990 bugs are still present in the P1, SE only added more RAM to cover it up. I was really hoping that the P1 would have gotten rid of most of the bugs (this would have given us P990 owners some hope too). Some of the bugs may be corrected in the next fw (probably around the same time as the new P990 fw release).
Could someone test A2DP (bluetooth stereo headphone volume level) and RDS function with FM radio.
P990i: A mistake, a curse and a disgrace So I lowered my expectations and settled for a P1i. I couldn't keep my expectations so low for a long time so now I have an HTC Touch HD |

to reenable PC synchronization after uninstalling you need a master reset |
