Ok, after reading all of your points, and also as I know Axxxr's position on this matter, then there really is nothing left to discuss.
Neither 'sides' are willing to budge. Its a shame no one seems to have mentioned the word compromise. but thats never going to happen while one is a Mod and can lock/delete any post or thread they dont like the look of, and the other is merely a member.
As Masseur seems to have the support of the 'invisible' laffen, and the majority of the forum, then this wont actually go anywhere.
Axxxr there are members that will miss you. you know who they are. |

to be honest, what compromise can there be. The thread is closed and will remain closed as far as I am concerned. The only alternative is to reopen it but that also not compromise and most people seem now to want it to remain closed.
I've always been one to find a middle ground but all axxxr is doing is covertly getting members to send PM's to people who mostly don't want them.
Personally, I have not approached a single member for support so any comments that hav come to me have been because that is the members own thoughts.
and I can only re-iterate that yes, axxxr will be missed, that really doesn't need to be said

@batesie
Axxxr will be missed, of course he will. However, off the top of my head I can't see how there can be a compromise.
If the 9/11 thread was attracting 'undesirable content' because of its high ranking on the search engines, then it can only really be either open or closed.
Its sad that it was closed but I don't believe it was anything personal and I also don't believe it was a decision that was taken lightly.

Hey folks, i dont wanna rock any boats, jump on sides etc...... Axxxr has asked me to post this so here goes:
'As masseur and many of the older members are aware I have always given 100% to esato in terms of commitment to esato over the years,I have worked day and night to provide quality Mobile News threads aswell as many non-mobile threads.All ive asked for return is a single issue which is the 9/11 debate, was that too much ask ..i know ive always had strong opinons which not everyone agrees with but they are my own personal opinions. I feel that if im not allowed to express my opinions freely in a single thread after all that i gave given to esato then i think i no longer need to be here.but i think masseur has already made that choice for me. let me make it clear that have nothing personal against massuer, he is a good moderator and indeed is doing a very difficult job, i certainly wouldn't
like to be in his shoes, Having said that i feel that he is useing his position far to aggressively.But thats just my opinion, surely i have a right to say what i think Anyway since i am no longer part of esato i just want to wish everyone here the very best for the future, its been an interesting journey making many good friends along the way.
Take Care Everyone and Goodbye!'
he wil certainly be missed as a great source of infomation and news!

@batesie, i presume, everyone would be happy and eager to learn about axxxrs stand on this. Whatever the reason, creating a website with an offensive url and that too targeting a single person is going a tad too overboard. I am not blaming anyone. I dont even know who created that website. I have been an active poster of the now defunct 9/11 thread and the earlier "Religious Thread". We "discussed" points at one point of time and yes there have been arguments where the mods had to intervene and had to take harsh decisions (harsh for someone - but not for someone else with an different viewpoint). At the end of the day I am sure that masseur has no personal grudges against anyone and takes decision only for the interest of this forum. I would go to the extent of calling the person "immature" if he takes a feedback negatively. If theres more to this, please let us members know. I am sure masseur would not mind as well?

@Batesie
Axxxr will most definitely be missed it goes without saying, but he has no one to blame for that other than himself!
It is his behaviour that has caused this stink, if he had put half as much effort into a website devoted to 11/9 as oppose to a website flaming Masseur the discussion could have continued there!
It is not a matter of life and death for the discussion to be held here a link could have been posted in the thread to the new site.
And life on esato could have continued normally!

just to add that leeboy13 asked me for permission to post a comment from axxxr and suggested I might like to see it first, but I told him to post it and I don't need to vet it.
I agree that I have been aggressively moderating since all this started but I am generally known as a friendly mod, even batesie mentioned that in a PM this morning. I'm sure once this is all dealt with I will be once again seen as a friendly mod, except for those who repeatedly will not listen and continue to break the few rules we have here.
In that regard, I had a PM from max99 recently, who was banned a year or two back for exactly that. he asked to be able to return to Esato and I've welcomed him back as I felt he deserved it. so welcome back max
so its not all bad news around here!

Thanks for posting that Leeboy but axxxr hasn't expressed his thoughts on the 'undesirable attention' the 9/11 thread was attracting to Esato and whether this should be overlooked in favour of keeping his thread open.
