Or use this!

Is that thing huge or what? Probably weighs more than the phone.

the features the phone has are amazing but in general as a phone it is PANTS! I dont understand why people would want to go for it just because it has a built in GPS reciever and a 5MP camera which i could probably buy for less than what the phone is worth.

To top it all off the battery last's 2 hours maybe less.

I urge you all NOT to purchase this phone.

Noted and completely ignored. Your post has got to be ranked as one of the most useless and false post to this forum to date. If you don't know, then don't embarrass yourself by posting.

I urge you to stop posting crap.

@sapporo

yeah thanks, i didnt know the meaning of preperation, now i do

why do you keep defending the battery? face it, its crap! OF course we all new it wasnt going to be good from the start, but i didnt think it was going to be this bad.

How bout i give you my phone, and see how you like having a phone that dies half way through your day, and have nothing to charge it with. Then you MIGHT know what im on about. oh and for the record, i dont drive, what good is a car charger and i already commented about charging 2 batteries.

In the mean time, please, dont let me keep you from defending the n95.

>500,

Ah my friend you may have missed my non-defense of the N95 or misinterpreted my percieved defense of it. For the record, the battery life is not great. Not even very good, but for the most part it is okay. Considering what the phone can do, I would say that if you could find a comparable phone with the same features, put in the same size battery, you would not get better battery life.

The problem here is that the N95 packs a pretty powerful punch at the expense of battery life. I can get about 24 - 30 hours if I am very attentive to the way I use the phone, but on a normal day, I get about 15 hours. Soooo, I run down one battery, and charge it up full. The next day, I swap out the battery that was fresh. It can be a pain but for the most part I have two batteries that are almost always full. I keep it on charge and I plan how I will use the phone. It is the best solution? For the time being yes. Once again, I have the option to sell the phone but for what the phone does there is nothing out there on the market.

Also, the new software fixes, IMHO, about 95% of the things that were considered problematic.

@>500,

Hey dude. Get the upgrade, it might help out. Another thing, if you are using Worldmate, make sure, make sure, and oh please make sure, it is not running in the background. It just sits there and grinds away until your battery is dead.

As for portable power, you might want to look into the Solio (www.solio.com). During the day, I keep two batteries, with me.

Try, www.mobilemate.com or www.handango.com. I can not remember the links off the top of my head. Do a search. Worldmate is now free. It is a very good application. Gives weather, currency exchange, some other stuff for free but has paid services if you need it. This app is great but will sometimes run in the background to update its data. This can be a pain. Check on the Solio thing. You will not be disappointed with this.

@sapporobaby

I done got a N95 and it's one of the best phones that's been in my hand. No problem at all with the battery. Last about 4 days without heavy use of GPS and so on. Just wanna ask what is Worldmate?

@>500,

To be honest, I have not bothered to monitor the battery life but I will just to see.

The upgrade download is about 113 mb. Can take quite a while if you have a slow connection. I did mine in about 8 mins. The upgrade on the phone took longer than the download (I have 24 mb DSL at home. Gift from work). The GPS will work better and the phone will feel snappier. No crashes either.
