Ok i see, because i was looking on the US apple site and you can get them there but delivered to an address in the states. So if i was to get one it would just be the $500/$600?
I wouldn't have to sign up to any contract from the networks |

Yeh but it will be locked to a AT&T, so unless you can get unlocked/sim-free its a paperweight.

So now the question is weather or not it will be able to get it unlocked, i really want one now, and its not that badly priced, im sure when it comes to the Uk it will be more expensive. |

Yes indeed, The U.K version will be of a much better spec, 3G for starters.
I would wait till monday for some official news on the european release of the iphone to get a much better picture of what we will be getting.

guys.. iphone uses a sim card that can be removed... but you have to activate the phone with itunes before it can be used...
also it will be unlockable via code...which i have a few people saying they can get in 24 hours for a fee... but i'm stilling waiting to get my hands on a locked iphone... |

i'm hearing more chaos now... the iphone is built of the same principles as a sidekick... everything has to be preregistered to work so unlocking is only half the battle... i'm still digging info... but i don't think a lot will be cleared up till the dust settles..

WOW thats hectic,why do they have to go through so much when geting a new SIDEKICK or I-PHONE? so does this mean most ppl who bought the i-phone this weekend are busy holding paperweights or what?
