I managed to land a MZ5 at last, actually I managed to find two but the jogdial doesn't work on one of them, I'm sort of hoping the jogdial can be replaced/repaired on the second one but they come with all the original accessories etc.

The Mz5 was mentioned in a thread here a couple of days ago and it just reminded me to do another world-wide search on eBay. I found two from a german seller in an auction that had just been listed ( I knew I shouldn't have trusted that request feature! ).

So I contacted him with a BIN offer and he accepted. They don't look too bad from the picture but there is near enough the full complement of accessories so I'm quite happy.

I think that should cover it.

Do you know if the P800 had a five-way jogdial? I sort of thinking the jog-dial from the P800 could be retro-fitted into the knackered MZ5.

I still have a Sony CMD-Z5 boxed with all accessories in good condition & with the 5-way jog dial & 82g light it was an absolute dream to use back in the day.
