Question about P1i and W960i |

I am currently thinking of getting new phone.
If sound quality in w960 is better than p1, then ill go for it. I wish somebody could do a test on that.
I have just realized that w960 is using SE patented fastpost. not even the standard USB. so difficult to carry as data holder. At least, p1 is using a memory card. And the only thing u need is the adaptor. Most laptops has 5 in one reader anyway. even desktops now a days.

You dont need card reader. Just use usb cable that comes in a box, attach the phone to a computer and it will automatically recognise memory card in the phone as external disk. |

exactly my point. SE port is not availble else where. At least, if it was USB standard, most devices even digicams are using it. |

From a hardware point of view I would expect the P1 and W960 to be essentially identical, same RAM, same CPU, same screen res. The difference will lie in the branding - the walkman branding will bring the proper walkman music player to the device - you will almost certainly have many more features in the music player for the w960 than the p1 has. With a bit of luck SE might even do away with that horrible disc2phone software too!
I would expect it to be possible to download and install the p1 firmware onto the w960 and vice-versa the hardware platforms being so similar, this was the case with the m600 and w950 after all.
