For the last time, Nokia N95 is Symbian V9.2, if some of you are confused just don't confuse others.

Symbian 9.1 was the buggiest Symbian ever.
Everybody is moving out from V9.1 even the new M600 is UIQ3.1 with Symbian V9.2.

Nokia N95 is Symbian V9.2 [addsig]

Can you give me a price? If is right, I might thing on buying it I prefer Canada because I have someone I trust returning from there in just over a week. I don't worry about 'stability' problems, however I do mind about the price. I am still waiting for DragonEye to name a shop in or around Toronto, CAN where my a buddy can buy it prior coming back to South Africa. He will be there this coming weekend - which means there isn't much time left. Anyway tx for offering to help buddy

what are you smoking? sntraders and plusone.. i gave you 2 stores.... you won't find it in a big store... you only find import cellphones in mom and pop stores or wholesalers... geez...

if you really want one contact me via pm.. i'll give you his number and you can work out the pick up location... i've been buy selling trading phone for about 5 years now have zillions of feedback and decent connections for retail products...also it's good friday this week so places will be closed and therefore stock might be limited if places sell out...

http://www.sntradersonline.co[....]_details.php?product_id=snp455

learn to read buddy not just bash... so the price for you will be $2000 everyone else $1150 which is high but that's because this is the first batch after next week the price should settle to be about $100 over retails my guess

THe N95 is very stable. (ask those who really own one). Dont be waylaid by people who have not even seen or touch one and yet blabber that everything symbian/nokia is unstable.

I have mine for the last 6 days and there is not a even a single crash or self restart eventhough I use it a lot (incl installing quite few prog). Of course, there are a bugs but these are minor. Mine is non-branded. I really cannot say whether those N95 adulterated by branding has the same stability.

@mib1800

Again u seem to presume that someone hasnt held one or played with one???

I work for VODAFONE UK! of course i've held one! I bloody tested one for 6mths straight as part of Nokia's Test Pilot scheme (final release firmware on them NOT prototype ones!) so i know about the build quality, the firmware issues and the fact that as long as u take pics in perfect conditions the cam is good but as soon as the light drops or u want detail in the pic its not soooooo good as the noise reduction algorithims in the handset are turned way way too high in terms of normal camera operation!!!

I know that Series 60 3rd Edition FP1 is still a very new system and has known (by Nokia not off a website!) issues that will b fixed in a future FW release (which by the way is due within the next 2 weeks!)...

I know that the GPS chip within the handset is an older style chip that doesnt cope very well in low cloud cover, indoors, pocket or anywhere where it cant see the blue sky as its placed within the phone and under the keypad!!! Again this was a money saving plot from nokia!

And by the way i aint some Nokia hating SE fanboy! Quite far from it... The last phones i have owned have been...

N70, N73, N93, N90, E61 and an E50... Again all from being a part of the Nokia Test Pilot Scheme! Part from the E61 which i use as my main phone which i still think is THE most reliable nokia out there!!!

So yeh before u go flaming ppl for airing their voice about being thankful for not buying one straight away and seein what ppl thought just remember that we may have tried the phone or used one a little b4 saying what we say!

Have you read all those who bought and have no problems with stabilty and have good build quality? Why r these people dont count? You have test it on your network but maybe your network put sh*t branding on it that made the phone unstable. You tested one for 6 months. Yeh!!! But the firmware on my phone is dated 15 Mar 2007!!!. Go figure. So what u tested may just an early firmware.

What u encountered maybe valid 6months ago but it certainly is not valid NOW. Since you DO test, you should know better. So why create a false impression that N95 is buggy/lousy buid quality etc?

You cant blame me for saying you have not hold one. Blame it on your own outdated statement which is out of touch with current reality.

I know that the GPS chip within the handset is an older style chip that doesnt cope very well in low cloud cover, indoors...

Gosh. Go find me a GPS receiver that can be used indoor!!!
My N95 has no problem locking to signal. And I live in the tropics where the sky is always covered with clouds.

I've tried it with an unfinished software and MY GOD was it buggy!! It restarted it self almost every 5 minutes (!). And the horizontal media menu wasn't working. Of course, I can't say if the finished version is buggy, but the unfinished definately was

I guess thats to be expected though, thats probably why they call it unfinished

anyway, I'm not put off at all and I'll judge it for myself.
