Glad to see you enjoy the pictures! and the videos! even though you cant see much of what`s going on in the screen on them!

About selected markets, his exact words were something like.. "selected markets in december, rest in january/february" heard that one before havent we?
But even though your country would be one of the selected markets, it would very much likely be out in such small volume, that you had to work in the shop or have reserved one ages ago to get one!
So most of us still have to wait..
But chances are really good if you live in scandinavia!
Furthermore he had no understanding that it would be released in Italy tomorrow.. he had`nt heard anything about that..

And yes.. it comes with that ugly looking piece of case! He agreed with me that it was one of the ugliest cases he had ever seen and that it has almost no use at all exept protecting the phone, since it doesnt even come with holes for the handsfree, and it is not possible to fit it to your belt.. I will certainly not hide my beautyful phone in that case, thats for sure!

I dont think the camera scratches easily.. since it is sunk into the phone, and there is a plastic cover protecting the lens, so scratches on the lens is almost impossible, and if the protective cover gets very scratchy, there shouldnt be any problems changing it!

But the handsfree is certainly cool!

He also told me it comes with software which compresses movies to fit the screen making the movies smaller of size.. he had a full disney movie on his 16MB card, those old classics you know..(about 10 minutes of film)

The browser is like a part of the menu.. it could be larger actually.. but it works very well with that size!
He told that the opera browser makes browsing sites even better, so cant wait to test that!

And about Norway, it is scandinavia isnt it?
I am afraid of saying something wrong..
But it will be out..small amount.. so chances arent good of getting one of the units.. just have to keep your eyes open! And reserve one if you can!

The speaker phone function works very well and the camera is not protected. You make a call, lift the visor, and the speaker phone function is enabled if you have checked it off in the menu.

The browser is awesome, browsing my girlfriends website and the HowardChui forum.

The case is a balistic nylon that is designed to protect the phone from any scratches, etc. Not very pretty, but very functional and nice construction.

Ringtones are awesome, they are midi, and wav. With a little software such as Nero, you could edit your favorite song, take out the voices cut everything but the hook and download it into your P800. I currently do not have the sync software for my PC to P800, so I am unable to really utilize this function yet.

This is not a phone but a PC for the palm of your hand. It has tremendous speed and is really a break out device for the wireless web as well as mobile communications.

thanks sk,
u have atleast given us a hope today..lol
i was just sick of nokias taking advantage of people with releasing one technology per phone. I was th emost loyal customer to nokia, but not anymore..manufacturers forget that people have eyes and senses, not everyone will go for their nice designs and expensive prices.
u know what also, i have been waiting on this P800 since 2001. the talk started back then and i was like wow, finally a phone that has everything i need, but unfortunately, it will go into 2003 till i get my hand on it. but i think its going ot be worth while. I think this merger of sony/ericksoon did delay it for sometimes but its ok. it was a good thing to merge cause sony can contibute so much in the technology.
cheers SK.

I purchased mine from GoNycom.com last week. It is a preproduction unit and not the final release, based on my experience, the final release should be really the BOMB! To compare, my girlfriend's site is modelamy.com and click on the page, Total Amy to compare the images. Browsing is very fast, better than my old dial-up connection a few years ago.

Any idea when in December it will be released on the selected markets?

I'm going to Norway on 28th for a week, so hopefuly if UK isnt a selected market I might be able to pick one up there!
