Wow, what a big, beautiful building. I love how the size suits it so much. |

I'll take some comparison shots with other phones so it's easier to see the size difference ^_^

Hi all,
Firstly i have no intention of getting a N95 as i don't like sliders, have no need for built in GPS and just prefer my N93's form factor and features but,
@Peter Kay you may not like Nokia or this phone but the screen is so much better than anything SE has to offer at the moment especially the SE smart phones which is what the N95 is a fully featured smart phone.
@taz666 so you reckon this will be more buggy then a P990 i doubt that is even possible after all still 7 months after launch it has problems. Even if it is buggy on launch i bet you any amount you want it will sorted well within 6 months which will easily beat the P990's situation and i will give 10-1 odds on that.
If you are going to attack it at least wait till you have actually seen it and not just because it doesn't have an SE badge. As at least when most here criticize an SE phone it's on a released product and it's actual shortcomings.

Dogman i think its cool, ok its big but i own a p910 they not exactly small, all my mates own nokias and they have nothing but trouble with them when they first come out, and some never get sorted, at least nokia can get it out in the same quarter they expect it to come out. |

I agree as Smart Phones have got more and more complex none are launched perfect, but the speed that these issues are addressed and the information on what is being addressed from some manufacturers is totally different to how SE behaves and treats it's customers.
This is the only problem that i have with SE as i find there behaviour unacceptable. It was you that suggested that it would be more buggy than the P990 possibly not the best phone to have chosen for comparison as a quick browse of any forum documents the amount of problems this device has had and also the time frame in which they have started to be resolved.
This is also not the only phone from SE that has had problems either WSOD and Erom problems plus even some of the newly launched phones turning off at random or on connecting or disconeccting the headset.
IMO this marriage between Ericsson and Sony may have increased market share and maybe even profitability but at a terrible cost. Ericsson produced the most reliable and rock solid phones ever quality was paramount. Now IMO due to Sony they are focused on shifting boxes and cheap marketing tricks through branding with Cybershot and Walkman and the lower end of the market for volume sales but the quality IMO has suffered. How many times do we hear complaints about a Walkman phone not being good enough to carry that name? and this is not from SE knockers but SE fans IMO SE may of increased market share and profits but at what long term cost.

one word n80

anyways... n95 great on paper.. but from what i've seen it's still suffering from the same things as before... lack of ram, poor build (that dual slide is too loose and rocks both ways too easily)
when the price is right i'm sure i'll get one... the phone looks good to me and the screen is huge and colorful..specs are solid and truly one of the most loaded phone we've ever seen.
the camera will suck, (face it megapixels have turned into a gimmick.. i rather se quality 3.2... that includes SE) the battery will suck and this phone will crash and be unstable at times.. but that's expected...

i've had 5 at different times... different firmwares... battery is respectable now... but all of them had weak build. (made in finland and made by nokia ones)
the slide was too loose, the battery door creaked in the back.. the slide rattle on the sides when opened or closed using the "soft" keys
the firmware is horrible.. random crashes... freezes, lock ups, memory errors etc..etc..
now keep in mind i'm a hardcore s60 user... my belief is if i'm using s60 i'm going full tilt..
i use it for email, browsing, music, video and gaming.. which worked fine for the e61 i love and cherish.. despite it's uglyness... but the n80 can't handle the same load....that is why the n80 is a mess imo
(depsite all the firmware upgrades.. i've had the ie versions as well)..... and the fact that i carried 2 batteries just frustrated me more...
if were to use the n80 like a did my k790 then it would be alright.. but trying to use it to it's full potential makes it a piece of trash...
the same can be said about the UIQ 3 phones.. i buy to maximize there features.. if i used it just for calling and sms... i wouldn't have an issues.. but then i might as well get a nokia 6230
btw.. if anyone wants to check out a quality slider.. the e65 is hands down the best i've seen in terms of build quality.. i've played with 3 of them to date and it's a great phone...

i do agree since sony stepped in it has gone tits up as we say round here i had the lovely t68 untill i broke it and it got replaced by insurrance by the t68i man did that suck ass big time into double figures of how many died on me, ok yes the p990i was a rather stupid comparison but there isnt that much difference on the two on paper and my friend got his p990i on day one in the uk not one problem yet even with the orange software installed. |

Nothing can be as bad as a P990i for a flagship phone. It came out months late and still did not work. I wasted months waiting for it only to sell it while it was still worth something.
I saw the N95 (dummy) today and it did not seem chunky and is obviously smaller than the P990i. I am definately considering getting one as SE have gone stale.
