Sorry to bring up an older thread but I am having problems with the update service on Vista. I have got it installed but when using it, I get problem.
When having selected a phone to update, I get to the instructions but then the update services jumps back to the beginning. Anyone got an idea of what the error might be? |

@Loor, change to windows 2000 compatibility and your problem will almost certainly be solved

Latest SEUS 2.7.6.8 works with VISTA without disabling trhe aero interface.
Check it OUT!!! New SE Vista drivers are also available when you plug your phone in and do a windows update check.

I got my P1 today but somehow I cannot get SEUS to run. I am using Vista Home Premium. I made sure to install Flash Player and Macromedia Player and I reinstalled SEUS twice, but I keep getting this error:
Can anyone help me?

Well now, that is weird. Hmm, I'll try finding out what's the problem. If I do get something, I'll inform it here, mate. |

Thank you. Because I made sure to reinstall, uninstall both Macromedia Player and Flash Player from the website using IE. Still nothing.

Ok, so a friend of mine told me he encountered the same thing and he googled and found that he ought to do some registering using the run dialog and the following command:
regsvr32.exe C:\\WINDOWS\\system32\\Macromed\\Flash\\Flash9e.ocx
I did that, installed and the macromedia error is gone but now it seems to not want to find the server and the application closes after that connection error. This is even when I am clearly online.
If it isn't one thing, it's the other. **Sighs**

Hello man. T
In my case I also did a important step.
First. I downloaded the last flash player version with my Internet Explorer. I had downloaded with Firefox before and didnt work.
But same with flash player installed, restarted my PC and reinstalled the Sony Update service it didnt work yet.
So I follow the advice on this topic and Searching on internet I run the following command line on the MS-DOS console:
regsvr32.exe C:\\WINDOWS\\system32\\Macromed\\Flash\\Flash10a.ocx
After sucessfull register. The Sony update worked fine.
Ps. If you havent the Flash10a.ocx within this folder look for similar file. Maybe your flash player is another version. |
