Hey, thanks for the pack! Just to check, do I use farmanager to install your acoustics pack? I just drag and drop these files into there, right? I have a w800i

Hi everyone,
just like to let everyone know about my acoustics pack v1.1
http://www.filefactory.com/file/0127c9/
It has the following features:
- loud and clear on headphones
- loud on normal phone calls and speakphone calls
- high microphone sensitivity so you do not have to talk loud to be heard.
- hi quality voice recording
- loud and clear FM music
- good megabass on headphones.
- almost no hiss on speaker, no hiss on headphones.
Best EQ settings for loud, good bass and clear:
Left at max
middle 3 at 3 notch from top
Right at max
These are my view of it. I have only tested it on K750 (flashed to w800) I would love to hear what everyone think about it on your phone though.

I tried this on my w810i (both v.1 and 1.1). at least for the phone speaker output, sound is quite good (good bass) but low in volume. when i try to increase the volume level to maximum, sound gets distorted. i guess this is a trade-off for better sound for SE phones. quality sound at low volume. if the volume is increased, sound quality suffers (low bass, more treble). |

@guguly,
You are absolutely right. there is a trade-off. There is only so much louder you can make a phone speakers before it distorts. the speaker is only small and will not take it. also the amplifier in the phone is not that powerfull.
for phone speaker volume, The only other way I think the volume can be increase further is by sacrificing the bass. however, this makes it sound too scratchy. I think thee volume in this acoustics pack is the loudest the speaker can be before it distorts. and I prefer it to sound more natural than to sacrifice the little bass it has to make it any louder.
The main benefits of this acoustic packs are in headphone for music and phone calls and speakerphone for phone calls. etc.
Note: To really hear how much better it can be, I recommend you use the HPM-70 headphones supplied with your W810i. I have a K750i and I bought the HPM-70 afterwards. Now I would never go back to the HPM-60 that came with my phone. the sound is so much better with HPM-70.

i've noticed that the headphone HPM-70 has a louder bass than the HMP-60 that came with my phone, and there's also one of my friend that owns a w700 and it came with a HPM-70 too but my w800 came with a HTM-60!! Plus it got lost and there was only HTM-60 available around and i had to bought another of the HTM-60!! but its not that bad. the clearity is better atleast due to its lower bass output. |

Well ... the loud speaker thing has it's charm but the clarity of the original was much better ... I wish I could switch from a driver to another from the phone and not with some alien software
BTW does someone have the original W810i acoustic drivers ? cuz I didn't make a backup ... thanx ... |

Using that right now. It's better than the qwerty12 pack posted on that site. Using V2 right now with the farfield_play replaced with farfield_ring. Haven't tested V3 because V2 has done its job tremendously well. |

I am using my own acoustics for the phone calls part but with the headphone acoustics and the speaker acoustics from v2.

I just tried the ToShaRa V3 drivers. it has better phone call quality. but the headphone to me has just too much bass and does not sound as natural as v2.
well worth the download though. |
