Hi all,

It's really not that difficult to understand as China has the one if not the fastest growing economies in the world they also have one of the largest populations as well. Lets not forget the P1 is made in China so it really isn't hard to imagine the same factory making Sunny Ericsson P1's clones at the same time as all the tooling is already there ready for production.

No doubt China currently lacks the design and concept skills but they seem more than able of using what they learn from making devices for others and using it to their advantage. Even if these devices are only really popular in their home market they must sell huge volumes IMO.

Marc

I dont even understand that how do you guys actually call those 'Clones'

They look so cheap , just looking at them , seems CHEAP.

Cheap Chinese phones , id never buy one . My Cousin bought a N95 Chinese ... for $181 Dollars , totally different from inside , it stopped working after 2 months 10 days , no-one can fix it :S plus no warranty ...
Btw there is also a cheap version of the N95 without 2 slides , only 1 slide , and id say quality is a bit different , that one was for $90 Dollars .

Both are Touch screen , plus you get 2 batteries ...
But trust me these products seem EXTREMLY CHEAP and you can't really can't get them fixed.

Huh !
I doubt about that.China will never be able to make the exact copy of the original ones.

Anyone buying there fake phones risk frying their brain cells...these phones are not tested by standards authorities, the Chinese are not known for their high manufacturing standards- just ask Mattell. It should also be noted that all their phones are built on one platform with similiar specs- touchscreen, mp4, 256K Screen and SD micro memory expansion. And no, they're not smartphones. Don't see how some of the posters can claim these fakes are better than the originals when they're not even smartphones.

I wonder why chinese brands copy these fones. They can produce better specs than SE or Nokia etc but they copy they're names. Why dont they just make theyre own? what can we say? if they improve theyre products they might be close to nokia right? [addsig]
